Against players like Justin who "hold North" constantly, the tech is doing Heat Knuckle, which will be blocked but drop them like a sack of potatoes for a free kara-PotBuster. You can just input it without confirming the block, because if the HK hits its a long ass animation so the PB input wont mather, and if it was the wrong read, you probably already got hit, lol.

Thing is, Kara buster is not guaranteed after a blocked heat knuckle. You can jump out of it. It's just that many people don't know the situation and so they end up standing for a bit too long and get grabbed.

It is K I L L I N G me that Jan is infinitely the better overall Potemkin than me, but can't seem to FRC the Buster?!?!? Every hammerfall RC is a full RC before the grab and it hurts my soul to see pot giving the opponent that extra 2 frames of reaction time! Maybe I think it's easy because I use a hitbox, but there's nothing sexier than that split second slide into grab. ALSO 12:21 If you EVER get a counter on a Garuda, even at max distance, you can combo into Kara-Garuda, Kara-Buster. Maybe JWong has Jan shook because if I know that combo he def should!

Nice matches! Spent the last 2 days fighting mostly Potemkin players to get over an anxiety of goin against them. Learned a couple things 1.) Corner I'm dead 2.)get too cocky and get overly offensive cuz they got 10%hps also I'm dead 3.) Potemkin players are just really great sports at least the ones I played. Sometimes they paste me and sometimes other way around, but always finished all our matches. Respect to the big guys =)

Hey Justin. I think you value the idea of getting hit by pots command grab a lil too much. Hit optimal c.s combo does slightly less damage but after the mega fist leads to insane oki. While compared to pot buster it does a lil more damage but you lose all oki unless you a near the corner. Also back dash is extremely powerful against pot. It’s very hard to punish backlash without a hard read. Compared to jumping where a well timed meaty blows it up.

Pretty sure air backdash adds a lot towards negative penalty, so the couple you threw in there really cranked it

Wouldn't be surprised if different characters also get negative at different rates, so someone with low mobility and big body like Pot might have a little more wiggle room there (I *think* that was the case in GGXX but might be confusing that with another game)

On the Aegis shield I usually run up to it then low block FD it'll keep pushing you back and cancel out almost immediately.

As much as I love Jan, best Potemkin title can only be given to Snakeeyes. The bull is godlike in this game with Pot. I would love to play a set against him, but only after a patch fixes this games issues.

10:58 He blocked the H dolphin, the next S dolphin would counter hit mega fist if no gap in between. BTW his burst punish is far away from optimal. He has good patience but it's safe to press 5S/2K after blocking S dolphin, since Pot needs meter so badly.
