He definitely is. His vocal range and power have increased, and he's getting more confident in stretching his comfort zone. I also think his voice is maturing. He only graduated from high school last month, so I think his voice will get even richer. I notice a big difference from his voice in concerts this year, versus the songs he sung last year.

Mr. Neville's voice is so beautifully unique, and his delivery would make any woman (and not a few men) swoon. Iam is a continuous joy, with his velvety voice. I never care for covers, but most of Iam's covers are better than the original, because of his smooth velvety voice and his own style. This was a two-time winning review.

I have said that Iam makes us “feel better.” Not in the sense that he always improves our mood, but in the sense that whatever we’re feeling, we feel it stronger and more intensely. “Monsters” of course is sad - Iam made it tragic. “Cool Down” was happy - Iam made it absolutely joyful. You can go down the list of his AI performances, and each one had this feeling that seemed exponentially stronger than the original. It’s a real gift he has. Partly I think it’s just the clarity and quality of his voice, but it’s also due to some artistic choices he makes, like the way he uses vibrato and the way he enunciates the words. You understand every word he sings. He doesn’t try to blow you away with spectacular runs, which often can distort the words. He just stays true to the lyrics. I hope he never changes that.
