The 3 finalists each had a song that they put out as singles. They each have a visualizer, as well as audio recordings. Iam's is the only one that hit #1 on iTunes for 2 days, he has 6 songs in the top 70 on iTunes, in which 3 of them were written by him. I really don't know how well Colin's or Megan's songs did but not really going to look for them as I'm not interested. I do remember that when their visualizer versions came out under their names, at one-point Iam had 187K views, Colin had 83K and Megan had 39K views. His American Idol performance view is already past 1.1M views.

The vulnerable lyrics remind him of his dad, Rodney. It is a universal song that I think everyone can relate to and who may have lost a loved one.
