I share your love for Mr. Tongi. I truly hope he wins it. Being an American Idol is as much or more how much the public loves you as it is 'how perfect or powerful your voice is.' Iam makes you FEEL. Emotion just exudes from him. I was delighted that he gained so much confidence by being "home", having the support of his family, friends, and neighbors. I think Katy described his voice on this song as a 'vacation.' GO, IAM! Thanks for your happy reaction. LOVED it.

I have the weirdest thing happening EVERY, and I mean every, time I hear Iam sing - I get chills on the top of my forearms and my heart feels like it's dancing. I'm not American but he's definitely my American Idol too.. There are a lot of amazing talent in the competition and almost all of them have the potential of winning, but nobody (except for Austin Brown) has ever given me chills and made my heart dance like this before.

You don't know the power of Hawaii and we have eight Islands we are a big supporter of anyone that's from Hawaii and don't forget he has the whole Pacific Islanders and the whole world that loves him. Jasmine that is from Hawaii was on American Idol went very far even though she wasn't as good as the other contestant and Simon Cowell said that he can't believe how many votes she got from just Hawaii. So I can see him winning the whole thing I hope so.

I agree, I also hope that America is agreeing with us on this one. This isn’t America’s Next Top Model or American Powerhouse, this is American Idol. Can’t tell me Iam isn’t America’s Idol this season with the numbers of views he’s putting up. Nearly 4-8x as many views as other contestants. With how much emotion and heart he sings with, America needs to be listening to Iam and people like Iam who sing from the heart instead of people who sing for fame&money. I hope Iam wins. There is something so special about him. He may very well be able to belt and run like some of the others, but knows that he doesn’t need to. What he does is so much more appealing. Like you said, he makes people happy. He moves people. I could listen to him all day.

I think he won everyone's heart on day 1 & is a heavy favorite, he doesn't need to belt anything. I was hoping Iam & Sara Beth would be #1 & #2 but Katy chased her off. I didn't think Katy was "mom shaming" like others did, but they all cut her down with the stupid "dream" bs. Iam posted an album on KZbin with songs he had saved on his phone.
