Oof the veiled noble topaz info is very underrated especially if you are freshly gearing out your lock. I have like 45 hit on my gloves and it is going to be tricky every taking it off

I’m playing Demo and I crafted both Spellstrike pieces. So… should I now get any blue with a meta? Obviously I’m aiming for the Tier piece but what are the other realistic upgrades? As always thanks for the advice.

Other serviceable options besides t4; Incanters cowl Hood of oblivion Mana etched crown Badge helm (costs 50, kind of not worth imo unless you are running mad heroics).

What are your thoughts on a 0/40/21 build? You actually use the imp and he should theoretically do more damage than the felguard and you also get ruin. Assuming he can survive.

I run this but you roll with succi, 15% increase to all dam with sl up. Soothing kiss is nice if there's no warrior for thunderclap. You can sac the succi and enslave+sl for big damage increase too

completely disagree on the some blue like oblivion + meta over spellstrike... sp equivalent is way in favor of spellstrike if youre not hit capped, plus you get the set bonus while waiting on t4... basic math outline... suppose you have base spell power of 2000 (that's probably generous, mine is 1150 unbuffed but then include all your shaman totems, flask, food, oil, paladin buffs, etc.) ...+12 crit rating is like the equivalent of 10 SP (thats 0.5% crit improvement) and +3% crit damage = say you crit for 5,000 on average thats +150 damage, with a 20% chance of crit that is SP equivalent of 30... so you get 10+30+6 = 46 from sockets with blue gem bonus (say you use +6 sp with +5 stam or whatever) and +40 base for +86, spellstrike with 3 veiled noble topaz gives you +61 sp , +28 hit (thats more than +40 sp equivalent, but lets just be conservative and say +40), +24 crit (another +20 sp equivalent), thats +121 sp... now how are you going to tell me the meta gem is the game breaker? come on meow. UNLESS... IM COMPLETELY MISUNDERSTANDING CHAOTIC SKYFIRE AND ITS ACTUALLY +12% CRIT AND NOT +12 CRIT RATING?

hmm I am kinda suprised that fire-destro beats shadow-destro soo much.... like incinerate dont benefit from imp SB so you wont get like 7k crits right ?

With the crit that is possible to get in the game now the ISB uptime is just not high enough for it to be worth. Shadow bolt can still possibly land with a higher number than Incinerate but compared to everything you lose its sadly just not worth

So if im demo, and i dont have the t4 helm yet (and no spellstrike pants and hood), is it worth to actually use oblivion head and legs for the mana bonus on pet? Do i still have to put point(s) into mana feed (we dont have sp in our grp,hes in the healer grp ofc), or im better off with demonic res/cataclysm? Can u guys sim that or try that out in raid plz? I have a feeling that my felguard will go oom real quick even with the bonus.

As shadow destro do i keep immolate up all the fight? and do i want the 4 piece set bonus of t4?

As shadow destro you always want to have Immolate up if you run Emberstorm and Improved Immolate which you should. And you most definitely want 4-set T4 as it will make you using corruption to a dps increase even with a cast time. The value of an Immolate is insane and I recommend you sim your gear so you can see for yourself the value of each spell cast

I think if you have ~200 more shadow spell power than fire spell power you want to drop immolate unless you have a mage applying improved scorch. Not positive though, im not very savvy with simulations.

That guide was before tbc launched and everyone found out blizzard decided to put chaotic skyfire diamond meta gem in the game for phase 1.
