The Alpha Ecliptic is a slant that PAA made in Aluminum as well as plastic. I really dig the Monster razors. Great shave. Have a great day.

Great shave! I am hoping we get a batch of the Amalfi Coast here in Canada... I asked our big online retailer up here so we will see. I may have to pick up Cavendish along with the Amalfi Coast if it ever comes and then I will be loaded up with PAA which would be great since I've never tried their products.

Nice shave Chris! I have the clear version of that razor called The Filament Fakelight. I was surprised at how light it is a when I first got it. But it shaves great, and the Strangelet blades really work well in it, as you already know. I continue to keep those fighting cancer in my prayers! I hope everyone will pull through! Steve

Morning Chris. I bought the Phantasma slant when they 1st came out. Even though they look scary they give a pretty good shave. A little light so don’t think you have to press to make it work. I have used the Razorock XXX soap and find it a very pleasant scent. Here comes another winter storm your way, so be safe. God bless.

I used Amalfi coast for Jim yesterday. It's a great scent. I might have to get Piacenza. I also used a strangelet for the first time in the Karve e plate. It was very tough and uncomfortable. I switched to a 3rd use nacet and it was perfect. I will give the strangelet another try in a different razor.

Thanks Howard. Sometimes certain blades are not a great match for razors. I'm not particular sensitive to blade/razor combos but some people are:) It's worth trying the blades in different razors for sure.

Thanks for putting in a good word for this scent, Chris, and thanks for the history. I recall the XXX experience, too. It's still up there fore me. The A.d.P. dupe PAA had in its lineup was called Aqua D. It was discontinued because it didn't sell too well, but I can't imagine this happening today and hope Amalfi Coast is a harbinger for a comeback.

Razorock XXX and Don Marco were the first great shaving soap scents I ever used. Before that I'd only used proraso and colonel conk (nothing wrong with them, but razorock felt like a step up for sure).

I received my bundle yesterday and used it this morning. No surprise, I love PAA. The aftershave is not too powerful, we will not bother anyone.(but we know it smells for hours) It's very pleasant. I have this razor in green. Really great but for some reason, on both sides of my neck there is an area where I can't get a clean shave like with normal razors... "The Incredible Mystery of the Space Monster Razor" Have a good day

Great shave Chris. Personally I'm not a fan of the slants, maybe because I like quite mild razors and a slant gives me more blade feel than I enjoy, not that it matters too much I have plenty of other razors ... lol ... Have a great day. 👍😎🤟

That's entirely ok Unc. I would recommend you stay far away from the Yaqi aggressive slant. That one is super aggressive and blade feely:)

This is one of my favorite slants and it would be cool in stainless or brass! I just used it the other day and I got a great shave with it. I've been weighing getting Droid Black before it disappears and that's a hard one never having smelled Floid or PAA's version. My taste can be quirky, and I'm always stand offish with cologne type scents. I wish I had got a sample of Droid the last time I ordered, but it slipped my mind with all the Christmas stuff going on. XXX was one of my first soaps and unfortunately not in my scent wheelhouse. I did pick-up an IBC razor and am looking forward to doing some custom work to it. It's pretty bland looking and scales and a custom thumbscrew should set it off nicely.

I've thought about those Monster slants from PAA, but first of all, I don't need any more razors. Second, I like really mild razors (Rockwell 6C with R2 plate or Karve CB with A plate), and while everyone calls the Monster slant razors mild, I'm always afraid it'd be a little too much for daily use.

That razor must be the same as the PAA origional Bakelite OC slant that I have. Fine and Cattie's Bubbles have their version of that scent and like you I love it. Terrific scent today.
