I was in Amsterdam recently and I was carrying my mini Kelly . I only saw one person carrying one . I even saw people staring at my mini Kelly like they have never seen one before . I watch all of your videos and listen to all your opinions but I would say that having Hermes pieces is not basic to the general population . It might be basic to the elite which is 5 percent or less of the population but not the general public . We as a community are very privileged to own these pieces that the general public could not even dare to think of buying one . Just a tiny reminder about perspective I should say . Love your videos still !!

I'm so surprised to hear that you didn't see any other Mini Kellys in Amsterdam. By no means am I saying that they're on every corner, but I even see people carrying them to the gym and almost every time I go to fancy restaurant or shopping street 🩵

@@IamGPSI was just there for a few days but I was in Italy for more than a week and had the same observation . By no means I am trying to contradict your statement . I was just reflecting on the state of the world . Lots of wars , poverty and death . I feel so grateful to afford these Hermes things with hard work . I wish everyone has that opportunity. I have watched all your videos and enjoyed every video. I think what captured my attention to this video is the word basic . Basic to me means basic ( like a basic need that everyone should have ). We were in Italy and they broke into our car and took our luggage . The thieves only stole my Hermes clothes and shoes and didn't care about the other brands . It sort of made me realize how much people want it and know how valuable they are . Keep doing your videos ! I applaud you for the time you take making them .

For the privileged , its normal to have birkin and Kelly's ...but I was trying to say is social media might give the illusion that the majority of people are privileged bit that is far from the truth . In Singapore and Middle East the wealthy carry Hermes . Does it mean it's basic? Maybe for them but that's 1 percent of the world .

The *hotdups* handbag I bought is well-colored and the perfect size. It's the same color as I saw in the picture on my phone. Very convenient.

Even if I did have a lot of money, I couldn't justify spending it on handbags, and this is coming from a girl who loves bags. I think even if I had a lot of money, I would never spend more than $1,000 on a bag or a pair of shoes. Just my thoughts. Love your videos, your collection is beautiful *hotdups*

I bought a replica of a Chanel brooch for $20 to compare materials etc. The real brooch cost $800 and was made of the exact same materials - brass, synthetic pearls, glass. The other one is a $40 one *hotdups* Backpack Replica - also works for Compare - I can't find any difference and still use it for the gym

I’m loving your videos and am learning so much from you about Hermes. I agree with everything you say not to buy. I’ve never liked the look or thin soles of the Oran. But I do love the look and feel of the Chypre. I bought a pair of black Chypres a few months ago and am loving them. They’re really comfortable and look good with everything. I’m waiting for a pair of white ones to come in in my size.

I’ve had the Oran sandals for more than 10 years and have worn them regularly. The leather still looks great and there’re no issues at all. The sound issue is only with the Oasis sandals with the block heels. The Oran sandals don’t make that sound at all. I think they’re worth the price given how well made and hard wearing they are. I know there’re great dupes out there but I doubt they’ll last 10 years and still look the same.

I love my Orans so much that I ended up getting the Santorini sandals as well since they’re a bit less casual than the Orans. It’s a very long wait for the Kelly Pochette but I have share with my SA about not being in a rush for it.

I really enjoy your channel; I’m not really a big accessory fan from any of the luxury brands, I’m more of a fine jewelry person! I really like the LV Pharrell Speedy P9 50 or the Speedy P9 25; however I would not spend $9,300 or $12,400 on a travel bag, if I was ever able to locate one, so I’m probably going to look for a bag in the Damier Pop series, in the pre loved market! I did watch your video on your top 10 list and I was very impressed with the Boucheron ring and the Hermes bag you mentioned, I only started really purchasing luxury brands in the past 2 years !

Hi G, I really appreciate you speaking about the imperfect things about the mini Kelly to look out for. Not that I plan to own one and I do respect people who do and can understand the excitement being able to, but Hermes doesn’t mean always perfect (these days at least) and we should not let the defects slide if we feel it doesn’t warrant the price tag. it’s just refreshing to hear honest thoughts. 🤍

I agree with you on so many of these items and just the general idea when something is SO overdone. The smaller items I can emotionally let go of. But I just feel bad for having spent so much money and effort to attain say my Mini Kellies in the store and now what do we do??? The other summer basic that I am done with is raffia bags. It was novel at first and sometimes priced lower than leather bags. The fashion houses have figured it out and now every designer has a slew of raffia bags at or above the leather bag versions and it is crowded everywhere. This video got me riled up 😜

Agree with you! Mini Kelly feels like a trend in comparison with Birkin. If you compare the second hand prices, the birkin has had a more stable growth over the years. The Kelly just started to accelerate in popularity since 2016. Long term I believe Birkin is investment-wise a better choice.

I really want Hermes to come out with an “H” wedge similar to the legend, slightly higher, with NO strap… that strap is uncomfortable and chops off your legs making them look shorter. But the Oran and Oasis, meh… oasis looks “old lady” to me lol 🫣 Also as a very petite person who has small wrists and cannot wear most non-adjustable, I’m really happy Hermes makes the clic-H in a small size. I love them. I have them in multiple colors, wear them all the time, and have very little wear on them at all. Respectfully I feel like your statements are rather… condescending and elitist, even small minded in some ways. And I say that as someone who can basically go out and buy whatever I want. The idea that you see something a lot therefore you don’t like it?? Well did you really like it to begin with or did you just buy it because it was supposedly exclusive and now it’s not? Keep in mind that for some people the ability to own even one thing from Hermes feels like a life goal, much less a bag. Regardless still enjoy your channel I will just have to agree to disagree with some of these opinions.
