The January 6 Committee Hearings are proving my previous point that Trump was the worst US president in history. Tuesday's testimony by Ms. Hutchinson revealed a lot. Also note that Ms. Hutchinson is a Republican and most of the others who have testified about Trump's crimes are also Republicans. Two members of the committee are Republicans. Republican Congresswoman Liz Cheney interviewed witness and presented solid evidence for Trump commiting sedition and other crimes. With so many Republicans testifing with the truth that Trump committed crimes, the lies from Faux (Fox) News, lies from OAN, and lies from Newsmax of some absurd Democratic Party conspiracy won't hold up. Years from now historians will read these comments and agree with me that the evidence is clear that Trump was the worst US president in history.

Nixon is an interesting character to me, he had an accomplishment list that presidents today could only dream of, and it was all overshadowed by the terrible things he did, including the war on drugs, the southern strategy, the invasion of Cambodia and his treatment of Vietnam protesters, the collapse of Bretton Woods, interventions in Latin America, and of course Watergate. But in his positive column are the creation of the EPA and OSHA, the clean air and water acts, detente with China and the Soviet Union, and the implementation of the fair housing act under HUD secretary George Romney. Also he gets credit for not trying to undermine Medicare, the accomplishment of his Democratic predecessor, as many small-government conservatives wanted him to do.

@@macforme yes, I can. At that point, there was zero precedent on how much power the vice-president had with the death of the president. The Constitution was vague about this. Some thought the VP would just be president until a special election was held. Some believed the VP would just be a figurehead president and the cabinet would run the country. Tyler insisted that he was the actual president and had all the powers that the Constitution bestowed on the elected president. None of this was inevitable. *I'll give you a list:* 1. *George Washington:* Not doing anything to stop political parties from forming, despite being against them. 2. *John Adams:* Signing the Alien and Sedition Act, which violated the First Amendment. 3. *Thomas Jefferson:* Supporting an embargo which devastated the American economy. 4. *James Madison:* Losing the capital to the British. 5. *James Monroe:* Not doing much to ressolve the slavery issue, except for the Missouri Compromise. 6. *John Quincy Adams:* The corrupt bargain, which destroyed the Democratic-Republican Party and split it in two. 7. *Andrew Jackson:* The trail of tears, need I say more? 8. *Martin Van Buren:* The Panic of 1837, which cost his party control of the Federal Government for the next few years. 9. *William Henry Harrison:* Poorly managing his own health, which cost him his life. 10. *John Tyler:* Not properly carrying out Harrison's policiies of building infrastructure, causing most of his cabinet to resign, and for him to be kicked out of his own party. 11. *James K. Polk:* Not ressolving an issue with the San Juan Islands, which led to the Pig War. 12. *Zachary Taylor:* Similar to William Henry Harrison, he didn't take care of his own health very well, causing him to die in office. 13. *Millard Fillmore:* Signing the Fugitive Slave Act into law, which allowed southerners to enter Northern Territory to recapture escaped slaves. 14. *Franklin Pierce:* Signing the Kansas-Nebraska Act, which led to Bleeding Kansas, violence that led to the Civil War. 15. *James Buchanan:* Not doing anything to prevent the South from seceding from the Union, which is why the term "Lame Duck" exists BTW. 16. *Abraham Lincoln:* Taking too long to send in the Pontoon Bridges, which led to the Union loosing the Battle of Fredricksburg. 17. *Andrew Johnson:* Not helping former slaves adjust to freedom due to his racism, which set African Americans back several years. 18. *Ulysees S. Grant:* Causing what was thought to be the Great Depression before the actual one, which nearly cost his party the White House in 1876. 19. *Rutherford B. Hayes:* Pulling the army out of the southern states, which ended reconstruction prematurely, which set African Americans back several years, and led to Jim Crow. 20. *James A. Garfield:* Dying before any of his policies could be accomplished. 21. *Chester A. Arthur:* Not doing much to prevent monopolies from forming, and not continuing the Civil Rights policies of his predecessor. 22 and 24. *Grover Cleveland:* Using the army to crush a Railroad Strike, and not doing much to help another terrible depression, which damaged the reputation of his conservative faction in his own party, and led to the rise of the Populists. 23. *Benjamin Harrison:* The failure to pass the Lodge Bill, which damaged African American support for the GOP, which ultimately led to them voting for Democrats in the 1930s. 25. *William McKinley:* The Phillipine-American War. May I say more? 26. *Theodore Roosevelt:* Trying to appease the south after Booker T. Washington entered the White House. 27. *William Howard Taft:* Not doing anything to keep his party together, which led to Progressives leaving the GOP in droves. 28. *Woodrow Wilson:* Segregating the army, and showing Birth of a Nation in the White House, which symbolically showed backwards steps for Civil Rights. 29. *Warren G. Harding:* The Teapot-Dome Scandal, need I say more? 30. *Calvin Coolidge:* Supporting Prohibiton, which did nothing but increase crime in the US. 31. *Herbert Hoover:* Trying to get America out of the Great Depression, but only made it worse. 32. *Franklin D. Roosevelt:* The internment camps, which sparked Anti-Asian racism in America. 33. *Harry S. Truman:* Not leading his army properly in the Korean War, which led to North Korea becoming a little threat that still haunts us to this day. 34. *Dwight D. Eisenhower:* Adding the word "God" to everything but the kitchen sink in the US Government, which symbolically led to some backwards steps for Atheists in America. 35. *John F. Kennedy:* The Bay of Pigs disaster, which was the result of a failed invasion of Cuba to topple Castro's regime. 36. *Lyndon B. Johnson:* Getting us into the Vietnam War, a war based on lies, which led to the Communists taking control of Vietnam, and it barely spread at all. 37. *Richard Nixon:* Watergate. Need I say more? 38. *Gerald R. Ford:* Stagflation rising throughout his presidency, and he didn't do much about it. 39. *Jimmy Carter:* The Iran Hostage Crisis, which, though it wasn't really his fault, he didn't do much to end it, which cost his party the White House, and had it not happened, he probably could've won re-election. 40. *Ronald Reagan:* Escalting the War on Drugs started by Nixon, which led to many African Americans getting arrested, and an increase in crime, similar to Prohibition. 41. *George H. W. Bush:* Not living up to his campaign promises to cut taxes, which cost him re-election. 42. *Bill Clinton:* Scandal after scandal under his presidency, especially Monica Lewinski, which eventually killed his reputation, and might've led to his wife losing the Whtie House twice. 43. *George W. Bush:* Starting the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, which, similar to Vietnam, ended in failure, as it led to the rise of ISIS, and the return of the Taliban. 44. *Barack Obama:* Increasing Drone Warfare, which killed many civillians in the process. 45. *Donald Trump:* Not doing anything to prevent the pandemic from spreading, and encouraging the rise of Anti-Vaxxers and Anti-Maskers, which led to COVID-19 spreading like wildfire in America, costing him the presidency. 46. *Joe Biden:* Failing to unite his party around policies, and allowing Democratic leadership to support traitors within the party, such as Henry Cuellar.

One could argue that Obama's biggest accomplishment was ending the Great Recession in the US.
@Sir_Austin_T_Gee5 ай бұрын
My bank account, finances, and investment portfolio all say that he definitely did not *end* the recession… he just helped make it suck a little less. I’d like to imagine that had there been less Republican push back he might have gotten more done… I vote Republican as crazy as that sounds with what I just said but the Obama era, as far as I can tell, is where the parties started fighting their opposition just to keep things from happening. Democrats did it to Trump, stifling everything he was trying to do… and it’s happening in reverse again with Republicans pushing back against Biden just because it’s Biden… I’m going to absolutely vote for Trump for a third time this November but I do hope and pray that should Kamala get the job she gets enough of her own in seats to accomplish something useful for everyone (like the economy) and not just something useful for less than 1% of the population, if you get my drift.

I really think that one day, perhaps after Biden's first term is over, this video should receive a follow up on the worst things each President did while in office. As much as the great ones might be great, there's no denying that each president has some skeletons in their closet. Either through laws they signed, actions taken, or even if they had a policy that negatively effected the country. It would be really interesting to see your take on that, Mr. Beat.

Biden's worst boo-boo may change because he still has 6 months to do something stoopider. He has a number of doozies; the public learned that he made his daughter Ashley take showers with him and as she puts it in her diary he did inappropriate things. She became a screwed up kid in and out of drug rehab. way to go Joe! He stopped all enforcement of the southern border and allowed some 11 million people to come into the U.S. including terrorists, rapists, and criminals of all kinds. He denied access to secret service protection for RFK Jr. while every presidential candidate is entitled to that protection and he did it simply because he wanted to serve a 2nd term and knew Kennedy would win an election against him. The man should not be allowed to continue his current term much less be allowed to seek a second term. Potato Joe please go.

Grover Cleveland should have had two answers, one for each term. Also, while outside of the scope of this video by your own constraints, I do think that Taft deserves a shout-out for becoming Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. He had much more power there. (It also made him the only person to ever hold both offices at some point in their lives). Similarly, while we are at it, JQA returned to Congress after his Presidency (a very unusual move) and fought for abolition there.

I didn't even have to reach Polk's turn to find out his greatest accomplishment. He is the only president to ever keep ALL of his campaign promises (even if he did bullied others to get his way). Gaining all those territories was part of his campaign promises but we can't forget h e also promised to reestablish t he Independent Treasury System and Reduce tariffs which he also accomplished, all in the one term he promised to only serve.

@@iammrbeat Yes I have, that's why I bring up his campaign promises for this video. Most presidents were only able to keep most of their campaign promises but not all of their promises, even those that had won a second term. Heck FDR lived through three of the four terms he was in office and couldn't keep all his promises (a lot of it due to issues from the Supreme Court). That's why I think the fact Polk was the only one to do so is his greatest accomplishment and that expanding US territory just part of the promises he made.

Though, there are good arguments to be made that it was a poor choice, as it's hard to sing, and the lyrics kind of glorify war. While it was still an improvement over the previous anthem of "America" (due to using the same tune as multiple other anthems including "God Save the King/Queen"), there was a much better option in "America the Beautiful;" and since then other superior choices have been written such as "God Bless America" and "This Land Is Your Land."
