Viltrox is killing it with their 20 2.8, 40 2.5 and now this! You don't even need a body cap because this is IT! . I feel the images are vintage! All you do if focus and shoot!

I immediately placed an order after seeing your video. I'm currently using the Voigtlander 27mm F2 with my Fuji bodies but have been looking for something super compact for my wife's A6400... I love the 40mm focal length and plan to use it for a pure point and shoot experience as I've found the rendering to be very pleasant. I haven't bought a single lens from a Chinese manufacturer as I never liked their approach of simply making cheaper versions of everything but this is definitely something new, genuine, and disruptive. If they make a 28mm f2.8 and a 18mm f2.8 autofocus with similar optical design for Fujifilm I'll be very happy..

I agree with you. I think more now than ever we need something compact. Hopefully Viltrox reads your comments and start working on it! :)

ok cool, but why dont you use your phone instead? if the goal is compact. f4.5 fixed won't stand miles away from iphone nowadays. imo, fuji xt30/xt50 + 27mm f2 voigt/18mm f2 is a compact and stand miles away.

Phones are a terrible control surface. And f4.5 is better for non-vlog uses than the ~f2 of phones or the osmo pocket type devices.

Did you just compare a 1/1.3 inch sensor phone camera with a full frame set up and called it "won't stand miles away"? I have the Voigtlander 27mm F2 for my XH2 and XE4 - I constantly shoot at F5.6 - F8 for zone focusing and don't see how a couple of more stops can significantly change the difference between a full frame / APSC ILC and an iPhone. I also have the Sony RX0II which has a 1 inch sensor and a fixed f4 lens at 28mm equivalent, and it blows my iPhone 16 pro max main camera out of the water.
