How has this song perfectly captured the main character in my current novel?! Even the opening animatic, with the rain-lashed, wind blown tree, and the sword sitting both welcoming and forlorn at once beneath it's ancient branches, that's how he would have found the sword he uses. My mind is full of vivid images of his journey to find his sword, and of the journey he's currently on at the point I'm at in the book, friends at his side and the world before him, bright and welcoming. The song is cheery and mysterious, and a little playful, like an old friend returned, which, also fits this character, since he's half-elf. I love the peaceful thunder and rain in the background. This one's my favorite out of the whole album. I can't stop smiling. I know what I'll be listening to nonstop for the next month! Thank you for such an exceptional song and album, I've deeply enjoyed it!

Thanks 💙💙💙 That's one of the reasons why I make fantasy music. I like to think that the song creates a kind of separate world. And everyone that listens to it is there, chilling in the same landscape. Fighting dragons, playing chess, making some toasties for breakfast, doesn't matter 😂

How do you learn to play so many instruments?!?
@IanFontova2 жыл бұрын
I'm lucky that I started playing music when I was very little and that's a big part of it for sure. But also it's because I really enjoy playing them. I'll get a new instrument and play it non-stop for weeks/months just for fun. When I'm tired, I'll leave it for a while, and the skill level that I get from that period is the one that I mainly stick with, other than picking it again from time to time and making small progress steps. I don't have high skills for all the instruments, just enough to have fun with them and combine them in my mixes :)
@IanFontova2 жыл бұрын
The way to have fun with a new instrument for me is not trying to play or practise things that I can't play with my initial level. Just stick with really simple ideas that are fun to play until I can do something more complicated. The fact that I've been playing music since I was little for sure makes this process less frustrating that if I didn't have that background, though. So I totally get that some people don't have the patience for it, even if they try this approach of less practising & more having fun. It won't work for everyone and I'm thankful that it works for me :)
