In light of last years tragic event/s Rattray's ongoing Why So Sad project is truly laudable - and he is definitely one of the brighter buttons, more interesting / eclectic characters in the skate industry w/ a remarkable history in skating / enlightening story !

You guys are the reason I bought my first skateboard at age 35, and I want to thank you guys for that! I’ve raced Dirt Bikes since I was 3 years old, and ride bmx as well. I’ve always heard about how skaters around the world are a big family even though the haven’t met each other. Thank you to the skateboard community for welcoming me into the fam even though I just got my first board at age 35! Side note...... I thought just because I can ride a dirt bike, bmx bike, and I managed a Skating rink for many many years, that i skateboarding would come easy. I’ll just say that I wish I would have picked a board up when I started riding moto, this shit is so much harder than I expected! Lol but it’s a new journey and new discipline for me to figure out. Skating is like a Rubik’s cube, the possibilities are endless! Thank you guys for this!!!
