I daily a 500rwkw f6 on e85. Only differences is it Still has stock intake manifold, stock over the motor air intake and a low mount modded gtx3584r on a stock exhaust manifold. Haven't chucked a sick day in years. The drive to and from work is the highly of my day, everyday hahahhahahha.

What else is done mate? Like Tail shaft and ZF and that is it?
@boosts147 жыл бұрын
kasey everingham still runs a stock zf, truetrac, rebuildable tailshaft, intank 1000hp twin pump module, 1200 Bosch inj, valve springs, head studs, ic, 4in exhaust.

Fuck mate thats awesome, decently cheap, and you have a monster street car, thats mint.
@boosts147 жыл бұрын
kasey everingham cheers mate. The reliability and torque band/numbers is what's amazing. Next month will be four years of daily driving on 500rwkw and not one thing has gone wrong. I did have a idle pulley sound a bit suspect once, but $10 and 5 minutes of my time fixed that.
@kaseyeveringham28677 жыл бұрын
Yaah mate, that is exactly right, you wouldn't think a car could handle all that Torque and power on stock stuff, especially for that long, thats what is truly amazing, its kind of shitty how much these icons get over looked for Holdens haha, but 4 years is a credit in itself, insane really. how many k's have you racked up over the year?

They're very popular in Australia. Makes us wonder why Ford never imported them into the States.
@miskone10447 жыл бұрын
they're used as industrial motors and in forklifts on lpg with a much lower peak power and peak rpm. I find it even funnier that they'd do that and not put it in some cars as well!
@diarmuidmarsden77527 жыл бұрын
JKFlorida pretty insane you can get an engine that can easily push 500hp for 1500 dollars.
@miskone10447 жыл бұрын
They will do 500rwkw/670rwhp on e85 no drama. The f6 motors will do a good amount more than that!
@goodkill17 жыл бұрын
It's definitely an interesting engine for sure, but the ford 3.7 is a very underrated engine as well. The 3.7 has a forged crank, 4 bolt mains with side bolt reinforcement. With ti-vct and coil pack ignition e85 is an easy possibility. unlike the Ecoboost 3.5 there is no direct injection so upgrading is easier. In my particular swap situation I used a 2013 Ford edge sport 3.7(fwd), that I got for $481 with core charge, and attached it to an mt82 6speed transmission ($187 W/tax rwd). The fwd motor directly bolts to both the mt82 and 6r80(auto) transmissions when you use a mustang/f150 oil pan&pickup absolutely no modification needed. yes, in theory you could use a turbo 3.7 with a f150 4x4 transmission W/transfer case & proper body modification. Given the 2017 focus RS has the same ecoboost 2.3 that is in the Ecoboost mustang I have a theory that the 6 speed AWD transmission also shares the same bolt pattern as the 3.7(which is also the same as the 3.5 5.0 and 5.4{Shelby}) I do doubt the AWD transmission could handle the torque output of the 5.0/5.4 Here is the real kicker, I have heard the 3.7 weighs either 300 or 360lbs. I haven't hooked mine up to a fish scale but if anyone has one in Florida hit me up.

Anti Rästa they're expensive down here, so why spend the my when you get a BARRA.
@miskone10447 жыл бұрын
the trans options are expensive as well :/
@vahvelpoiss7 жыл бұрын
I dont know about the prices, because I live actually in the Northern Europe and both options are expensive here. locals here prefer the BMW M50B25 non-vanos or single-vanos engines for turbo or stroker projects. downside here is salt that's been put down on roads in cold seasons causing cars to corrode away. thinking of all that I actually want to visit Australia to see the car culture over there :)
@miskone10447 жыл бұрын
lol can say for sure that our falcons and commodore would not survive salted roads! some models rust well enough without any help there. our car culture is a bit strange as its so broad yet so fragmented. but we love fast loud cars and will always credit something for being different in a positive way. we also love something thrown together in a shed with some mates and some beers that turns out functional, which is why this gets such high praise. its a bit more pro than a couple mates in a shed but it hasn't been handed off to some workshop to do it all and it has some epic engineering put in to it.
