My grandmother had one of these, here in Australia, but it was manufactured under the Volta brand name and cream colour scheme. Very hardy machine, it went forever! I remember seeing these machines everywhere, they seemed very popular in Australia

In Australia originally Electrolux was only available from an Electrolux store or direct sale. Volta was the retail version available from general electrical stores.

The dustbag indicator needs an original dust bag. In Scandinavia this same color vacuum sold under Volta U223 model and that was made in Sweden.

Here this model was sold mid 80s as Volta U-227. Different floorhead and 950 watt motor. I liked this design of vacuum cleaner very much.

Hello, from new zealand i am old school vacuum collector for electrolux, we had the same line of machines in department stores under the name Husqvarna by electrolux 1988 - 1998

This looks very similar to my first vacuum, a Volta U208GH, which I use when I can't be bothered getting out my Dyson DC19. The rubber seal on the hose where it attaches to the main body is cracked due to age. Replacing the bags is a bit of a faf, you need to ensure the opening aperture on the bag lines up with the hose inlet.

My mother bought this exact version from Rumberlows in mid 1986. It would have been the very last of it's kind, and by then may well have been exclusive to Rumberlows as by then the Z2010 had long taken over as the mainstream model. I can confirm that the whole tool kit with this version was identical to that of the 350E, that is to say the suction valve on the hose had the clip for the small combi tool, and the floor tool was the type with a soft bumper & orange pedal to operated the brushes. The wheels on my mums cleaner were black too, however, they were of the same design as the wheels on the 2000 series, where the front outer edge of the wheel was beveled as opposed to being flat. For all the bashing around my mum's cleaner received, the filter cover never fell off or got broken, which seems odd, as back in the day it seemed to be the first thing to fall off.

I had that same vacuum, but it was branded as a VOLTA and it was red and it came with a turbo brush too.
