I just bought this. I have a 7421 walnut and this will look great with it. All I care about is the ibanez wizard neck! The best BY FAR. Been playing on one for 18yrs. Signed by Dino Cazares after I opened for fear factory one night.

Such a distinct looking and great sounding axe, yet no locking tuners and bland fret marker layout. Why did they not keep the offset markers at least?

I think that’s my only nitpick about it is I wish it had offset markers. Still looks great to me though I can’t wait till mine arrives!

I agree I prefer the sharkfin markers and I think locking tuners and a tusque nut should be standard on any axe over 600. And considering this is 800, well...

You can tune up to D standard 26.5 inch scale, so B would be fine

The new RGDR4427FX is suchlike in setup like this one, any opinions about Fugion Edge pickups for a 7-string?

I really like them. A little hotter than the paf 7s i use in my 7s and i have breed 7 in my universe. These seem to do a great job across clean and distorted tones. Sounded great on my Laney SLX, hxstomp, 2x12 laney powered cab rig.

@@PaulGlover about the lower or bass tones, are they 'pronounced' as well as the PAF do? For instance instead of a bass tone, you get more like a knocking sound... or is that something probably caused by wrong EQ settings. Greets

I cant decide between this or the axion label multiscale 7. I think I like the look of this one better and the coil-tap feature is cool, vs everything on the axion. Anybody have experience with the ams7?

i just ordered the RGD70ALNB and it should be here today. After much deep thought I felt it had the specs that I agreed with the most for the price range. Not multi scale though.
