When I was a kid playing test drive unlimited 2 I remember delivering cars for a business and keeping them clean you would get a max payout, I used to do that all the time and going from buying a small house to eventually buying the mansion in diamond head. It was my favorite game growing up and it’s sad seeing the game feel bland compared to what it used to be. And not to mention having all the different dealerships around the map and I remember you could drive to the airport to take a plane ride to another map.. the game was amazing.

Make sure you update your gpu game or studio drivers. The performance is perfect on my low mid grade pc with a 4060. No stutter at all. You are not supposed to have stutter if you are up to date. Nvidia releases drivers every 2 weeks so you could be way behind on drivers.

Car deliveries where you're incentivised to deliver the car with no damage or maybe without reaching too high revs cause the engine is not broken in could solve the problem of the small map. You'd be moving at lower speeds trying to dodge traffic or maybe even following traffic laws to an extent and you'd be able to appreciate the meticulously crafted, detailed world much more. Any sort of progression or money making possibilities besides the boring personality-less races would make this game so much more enjoyable.

While the game isn't a step up from TDU2, it's not as bad as everyone is claiming. I put off buying it just due to the reviews alone, but since the gold edition was discounted I went ahead and bought it. I've enjoyed playing it thus far and I haven't run into any issues at all and I'm playing on a series X. The Devs can only make it better and add in the missing features from TDU2. I'd give it a 3.5 out of 5 in its current state.

I really liked the new map but as you mentioned still lacks of a lot things. Pretty sure they will extend the map(i hope full Ibiza) but first they have to fix lots of things like: OPTIMIZATION, steering wheel animation which is a great idea but lags for opposite locks for higher degrees. And yes a story to play. You just go for races and it ends there. You shared the numbers of players on steam. I can really get why that graph goes like that because yes; i started the ibiza map, go explore all the locations, go do the races and that's it. ı really want this game to succeed but the greate titles is on the way and im starting lose my hope. Unfortunate for tdu but i am hoping the other big gaming compaines have a lesson from this and may we have tdu features for their games.

As I understand it, there is not supposed to be a next game. The plan was that TDU-SC would be supported with updates for many years (5-10 according to the developer). For this to work, however, the game has to be financially feasible. If they hadn't ignored the community for years and insisted on their own vision and instead had at least half of the TDU features the community wanted at launch, the game would probably have been much more favourably received.

The main castle section destroys my series x on frame rate, my game freezes now. Upgrades in Selene show a pic of a dark country area not my car. Pixelated and low res textures, Also sometimes the AI will go out of bounds and when you do the marina glitch and get up there… you can also go around to the far right and see the buildings. Once they add missions etc it’ll be better, I’m getting tired of secondary tasks now. Done a few cars on 100 races

Can you double check if your game or studio drivers are fully up to date. I have a 4060 and the game runs with no stutters at all at lower settings. It's not normal for you to have terrible performance like that. It's jarring to watch. Nvidia releases drivers every 2 weeks and streamers don't seem to be aware of that. If your drivers are dating back from sometime ago you will have bad performance.

I was so hyped for the release of this new update, but let's talk honestly, it would be quicker to start over again a new game rather than continue to add thing in this. They have committed too much errors from the beginning, starting from the boring location (to me cities like Dubai or Doha were a way better choice to express the exotic richness of the franchise) passing for the houses, lack of recent cars, not realistic dealership and many more details that we loved in TDU2. And as if that wasn't enough, the graphic is mid but it requires a NASA PC to run decently. In these days i'm replaying The Crew 2 and, shit, it has a way better graphic than TDUSC, requiring significantly lower specifications. Yeah i know it's a AAA game, but it's a six years old game! I really hope for the future that they release a 2.0 that fix everything like Cyberpunk did but i'm worried that there's nothing much to do.

I doubt that would be the case, they really bleeding hard after releasing such gems like this & MXGP '24 and whole update to me feels like they're really need to recoup the severe losses from developing this for like 8 years including the delays after delays and then you also get Steam's refunding policy regarding season passes, with Season 3 along with clan wars getting "postponed" as per their own words, just so Gabe SWT won't force issuing refunds for PC players whose buying this game

The new update pissed me off because I high bet challenge other players and beat them but in Ibiza it’s so laggy I get frozen in lag or the person somehow lagged 3miles ahead

Yea the network lag is really bad and traffic popping into existance is crazy making. They really need to get their server issues fixed.
