The drainpipe installs went pretty smooth Brian. Question, what do you think about building 3-4ft berms and planting evergreens on top along the chain fence streetside, continuing around the cove pass the white house? You've got a ton of dirt to lose, that would be a great way to do it and would speed up your privacy screening by a few years. 🤔

@@BassGuy1 A berm would be difficult to maintain. Trees are already planted along the front, up to the culvert because I plan to fill that area in some. Trees will be planted along the end house now that we’re done with that cove.

@@johneken2056 It’s done that for over 80 years, the culvert that was there was removed after a utility project and since then it just floods the surface there making a swampy mess. This is just a small town back road too in a state where annual vehicle inspections are mandatory. So there aren’t a lot of oil leaking hoopties around.

If you would move all your piles of dirt behind the fence line. In a nice berm. It would hide the view of the lake. And being out of sight from the road would lessen the temptation for people to trespass.

Looking good there Brian. Can't you get solid lines made on site cheaper than that dealer price as long as you have an original to copy the bends from? I mean you could likely get hose cheaper but would not last as long but it would work for a while. Parts prices on everything just seem crazy from dealers on everything mechanical. That price you got quotes, it should be solid gold!!!

On the 1st ditch, would you not have been better with some field tile to collect the water that is seeping into your trench? Will the seepage not erode the sand around the pipe and create a sinkhole?

I was wondering about that also cause whatever goes in the pond also must go out and you don't want to much flowing in and road runoff water could contaminate the water. The other ditch could also contain septic water from your neighbors which could partially explain why the water table is so high there.

Heads up. Nice lake. Do you think it's a good idea to use that sorce of water. I understand it is run off water from the road? What happens if there was to be a vehicle accident on there. Surely the water would be polluted. And it will run no doubt into your lake? Just saying.

The bubbles come from the soil as it gets churned up by the water flowing, it’s normal. From what I’ve heard, water volcanos are for stagnate bodies of water. This one is spring fed and constantly flowing.

IDigIt4 has a Kubota U-55 like the one you were using only his has a full enclosed cab. He's got a mulcher that he uses with his so you could incorporate something like that with your business if you so desired. 👍
