Hello. I hardly ever comment on KZbin, but I just wanted to say I love your content on both this and your main channel. It has inspired me to get into caving. I plan to join a grotto soon. Thanks for being such great ambassadors for the community. Say hi to Jacob for me!

That's great. We don't really have any goals but if we can be ambassadors for people to go outside and do something healthy I do think there's a lot the world has to offer besides just watching videos of other people's lives. Joining a grotto officially will open a lot of opportunities to you to see a lot of cool things. It's an eye-opener.

I got some great photographs of that. That was really the goal of that day is to get some of those snow pics from the interior. It's so strange how the blue and green and yellow is so prominent in some spots

If you live in Portugal this is near St helens. If you live in Washington state this is not near St Helens. So the distance is relative.

Love your collection of flashlights and headlamps. Not cheap but looks great quality. Also, where is this video taken?
@EvenDarker
@EvenDarker 10 ай бұрын
Most of this was taken at Rainier National park. Some of it was taken down close to the border of Oregon and California. Companies now send us a great arrangement of lights (for free) so we have like a lifetime supply of unnecessary lamps and lights.

That is some outskirts wilderness, you are OUT THERE, man. Where is this? What an interesting place to crawl around! I wouldn't expect caves to be near slides like that, unless I'm missing something. Is there a strong reason you're looking specifically in that area or is it just purely out of curiosity? I guess I only consider a cave something that goes into the Earth, not a coincidental cavity between fallen boulders. Still cool!
@EvenDarker
@EvenDarker 10 ай бұрын
There are different caves with different names. Caves that are a result of bolders are called Talus caves. They're obviously generally not as big or extravagant as tunneling caves or lava tubes but sometimes they get bigger than you think. Some of those bolders there were 50 ft so... I suspect under that area which has about a mile of bolders below a cliff, there will be some good size cavities. If they are especially insignificant, nobody's going to care. We can find some big ones sometimes. But only if we look!

@@EvenDarkersimple answer : big monkey, complicated answer : big monkey creature that people say is real but has no true evidence except a few videos of "footage" but those are most likely fake. so basically an internet legend that some think is true and some dont. they say it lives in forests and caves and so on..

Bro that is wild. I'm going to have to go back and see if I have any other photographs. I don't think I do. But I'll check. It's probably just a rock. But you are not wrong. *Yeah it's just a couple rocks. The orange rock looks like the handle and the other rock looks like a blade. But from that angle that looks like a sword. Crazy. Well now I want to find a sword!

You must be way up on elevation there. Sure is some beautiful scenery where you were at.
@EvenDarker
@EvenDarker 10 ай бұрын
Yeah was around 6500 ft I think. But we were also fortunate most of the snow and ice was up around 8k. This area was just in shadows and had a little snow left. The scenery in this area is nothing short of spectacular. The area of this specific video. It's unbelievable. We were up there for the wildflowers but they hadn't bloomed yet. They usually bloom in late August or early September. Then it snows again. It's a very short season

Yeah that melting snow creates caves annually which is pretty cool. The mountains larger glaciers actually grow every year. There are large ice caves near the summit but they are a booger to get to.
