Fellow Canadian here from Manitoba and I honestly would rather live like this being in nature seeing the beauty of our country living in it. Like the natives would say we are the caretakers of mother nature

Another outstanding video, Quinn. You and everyone involved really outdid yourselves with this new series, and in a really big way. I thought your content was epic before but it just keeps getting better. I really appreciate the conservation tone and message in cast northwest, it makes a great case for living sustainably. I just can't imagine how you could top this. Please keep them coming. We need this.

Love smoked trout. My g-pa and I use to fish along the American River (before it got to populated) about45 years ago. We would pay fry trout, but my favorite was/is pouching in a tin foil wrap with whatever summer veggies we had along with some garlic and wine, maybe butter. Great post Captain Quinn, just subbed and you have brought back some of my favorite childhood memories. GB

This is just a super series. Love it. Sub'd and watched a ton of your vids. I would like to see a video that shows some of the gear you use in the cold environment to include clothing, rod/tackle, waders and such. Also, as long as it would not be a waste, it would be interesting to see legit mountain man clothing...so the process of making a fur jacket or other clothing.

Great fish Brook Trout!

If you're out west this could be because the brook trout you are fishing are stocked, whereas the bows and cuttys are naturals? Because the natural brook trout here are absolutely fantastic!

I never really got the difference I thought a spec was a small brookie, I guess its like how Canadians say pickerel and Americans say walleye
@norcofoxrider7 жыл бұрын
its just a slang term. I prefer to use the correct name for the fish. I hate when people call walleye pickerel because there is another species called a grass pickerel

There's something about a missile of muscle, red red muscle, silvery on the outside, wild, that swims. And you can, and are meant to, catch AND eat, this miracle of a thing. We wing throw a sharp pointed curved item with hairs on it by a line with a long stick and a round spool called a reel. We do this with great pleasure. The rod arches under the strength of the running silver missile. There is something about this. What is it.
