When the ice isn't exactly safe you improvise! Today I am getting my ice fishing fix by targeting winter Crappie and Bluegill from a dock. Is it ice fishing if you aren't on the actual ice? Honestly, it doesn't really matter to me. I got my fix!

If you’d have asked me 5 years ago if I’d be fishing all winter and loving ice fishing. I’d have said you’re crazy. Now, I’d rather fish all winter than summer. Ice fishing is a freaking blast!

Hi Jake, I aslo own a Garmin striker 4. Do you know what is the difference in between regular and ice fishing transducer? Is the ice fishing transducer worth the investment?

The ice transducer gives you a better down beam. The boat transducer has to be adjusted more to get a better view. My opinion. Get an ice transducer.
