Great video. Huge fish. That kid is straight lucky to land any of those fish. Tons of slack in the line.

That is one tough part about braid + gloves + cold weather + ice on line etc. Mono does reduce that, however you have to ensure you get a solid hookset.

Figuring out the lake one trip at a time!!!
@SuperiorAngling4 жыл бұрын
Will never figure out that lake. LOL. Getting lucky, one trip at a time. ha.
@austyntuck2253 Жыл бұрын
That's a false statement... I have that lake pretty figured out, if I can go there and fish my regular spots like I do and catch big brook trout and lake trout every time I'd say I have that lake figure out... I think what you are trying to say is nobody will fish that entire lake in their lifetime lol

Why bring the shacks if you dont use them? It's better for you , and the fish. Great vid. Nice fish!!
@SuperiorAngling4 жыл бұрын
Shack is to haul all the camera gear + Marcum flashers etc. Could have fished in a pop up as well, however fishing outside is easier for video purposes.
@shaynepilgrim65934 жыл бұрын
@@SuperiorAngling I disagree, but still really enjoyed the vid. Fishing from the shack is easier on camera gear too. No wind, no cold. You guys were in the right place at the right time though. Nice lakers!!

try drilling a double hole that looks like a pair of binoculars in the movies. chiseling the points is optional.

Its tough to get their heads started up the hole! But hey, it worked for us!
@TheJesse15154 жыл бұрын
Superior Angling I know it is...but you could see you were not letting him do that...let the rod do the work man..hey if your up that way need to check out dynamite plastics! Great bait company...makes some amazing glow tubes
@TheJesse15154 жыл бұрын
Beautiful fish though!!
@SuperiorAngling4 жыл бұрын
It's what worked for us in this situation. If the guy on the rod can see down the hole, it's a different story. When you have a 1/2 second opportunity to get their head started, a little influence on the line helps. As we always say, do what works for you, theres no one right way to catch a fish. Ill be sure to check the lures out! Can never have too many good lookin tubes!

First of all, where do I get a hat like that?!!!! I’m new to ice fishing and wondering if you’ve done a video on your snowmobile set up? I too have a skidoo and would love that rack. Would love to see an ice equipment vid...what’s on your sled? What’s in your 5 gallon buckets etc. thanks! SW

I’ve lived on Lake Nipigon for 31 years-never caught 3 lakers thru the ice in one day!
