John has it right. Perch are the best. I love a good walleye fry, but perch are the absolute best! I love targeting those little gold nuggets. They’re so fun to catch and so wonderful to eat!

one of the days you should head up to lake alice/irvine. its a very unique fishery that is connected to devils lake. Im a local fishing guide and its one of my favorite lakes to fish.

Northern Ontario Had some amazing Perch fishing this past year id go as far as saying best in the country I’m talking giants off Lake Superior basically untouched an Un pressured , Top notch scenery as you are surrounded by the changing of the leaves something to see 👍 great video Jay what a treat to learn some cadence techniques from John a NWT champion 🎣🎣

You should try stump lake one of my favorite lakes to fish around here in ND the fish can be really skiddish and hard to catch but they can also be fired up.

fished devils lake this summer and couldn’t get on them, had about 12 walleye but none over 14 inches probably, then there was a youth tournament a couple days after and 3 guys had a bag of somewhere around 35 pounds

When I was younger, my dad and I would go out every winter ice fishing. We would stay at Lakeview lodge. Sadly, the owners are retiring and have sold or are in the process of selling the lodge. They do live in a house right there though that I helped build. John and Maria are their names if you would get that way
