The footage is beautiful and visually stunning. There is something about snow coming down through the ships lights that (to me) is peaceful and light on the soul. Fantastic editing!✌️

Good morning CAPTAIN and my respects. I am very happy to see another amazing work from you.!!!!! The work done by you is professional and even professional directors would envy it!!!!! It is given to people to understand what dangers the ice hid in shipping.....in its weight in the navigation of the usual work, etc. I wish you to go to the BELOVED SEA soon!!!!! .Because this is the great love of a sailor. Out on land he felt like a fish out of water!!!! I hope you and your whole family are well...AND playing your beautiful guitar regularly. Many greetings from beautiful Thessaloniki!!!! Once again, I pay my respects.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🤝🤝

What methods do the crew use to remove ice?
@S.Kostan_19704 ай бұрын
Almost everytime manually using the shovels, crowbars and hammers. When the ice is thick and solid we use the steam hoses, put them along the deck and run the steam through, so ice is melting and cracking thus making us able to remove it overboard by shovels. Also we use salt (need to have good stock before entering the icy areas), pour it along the walkways. When we left the cold areas with some layer of ice on deck we use the fire monitors and fire hoses to shower the decks with salt sea water. Thank you for the question

Thank you for your kind and detailed reply. Sounds like a lot of hard labor! I drove trucks for 45 years so I can relate to keeping the equipment ice-free. I very much enjoy your videos. Fascinating and beautiful. Keep up the excellent work. @@S.Kostan_1970
