I am a 77 years old Geologist, Lake Baikal has a very special place in my heart. This is where a Plate is breaking apart creating the deepest (+ 5,000') fresh water lake in the world. I am not surprised that they experience EQ (earth quakes) so frequently, this seismic activity is the direct result of the Plate rupture. Unlike Caspian & Aral Lakes which are salt water lakes, Baikal is not, only because Baikal has an outlet (river exiting), that does not let salt accumulate in the water. It is my last wish to see Baikal and take the Trans-Siberian Train.

Beautiful video and country. Siberia is just like where I live, in the USA, southwest Montana. You are so brave to go out and make these videos. I love learning about your massive and interesting country of Russia. I have always had a great interest in anything Russian. Especially the older music, literature, and cultute. In how people live, especially in the small villages. I love Rachmaninov's music and Chekov's writing . I am a great grandmother. There is much to share about my culture and much I want to learn about yours. Please keep making these videos. I will share them with my grand daughter who is a wildlife biologist in California. I will be 80 years old this year. Thank you, and stay safe and well. Warm regards from a grandma in Montana. You are a beautiful young lady.

I'm actually planning to move to Irkutsk, aka the Siberian Paris, from the US. I've seen many itineraries and travel journeys online posted by travelers from many different places of the world, and I have to say: I'm really obsessed. I want to get a way from the fast-paced lifestyle and the urban pandemonium. Lake Baikal, or Irkutsk, is the next destination on my list.
@NoMady688 Жыл бұрын
