People don't realize Ice T's impact in the Hip-Hop Culture!!! I mean along with Schooly D created Gangsta Rap and without them they would be no N.W.A, Eazy-E, Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, Geto Boys and a lot of stuff going on now...!

Sorry, but Easy E was way AFTER Ice-T. Ice's was releasing shit in the early 80's, real old school electro hip hop, and NWA and the Posse was released in 1987, after Ice's first album Rhyme Pays.

Ice T was laying down gangster rap before NWA hit the scene. He's considered the godfather of gangsta rap and was one of the first really hardcore gangster rappers. He dropped his first album "Rhyme Pays" in '86 which features the classic crime tale "6 in the Mornin'." It also has a single called "Squeeze the Trigger" which is one of my favorite hip hop songs of all time and the lyrics are still relevant to this very day.

Ice-T was far more prolific, smarter and had social commentary than NWA. They were just bout raising hell no reason. Ice-T was telling us bout his life. He did a lot of illegal things in his life. I can tell two things. Most of yall only reiterating shitChu "heard" instead of actually BEING THERE DURING THAT ERA & actually HEARING THE RAP! That Schooly D song ain't even TALKIN' about no gangsta shit.
