People don't realize Ice T's impact in the Hip-Hop Culture!!! I mean along with Schooly D created Gangsta Rap and without them they would be no N.W.A, Eazy-E, Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, Geto Boys and a lot of stuff going on now...!

Ice T was laying down gangster rap before NWA hit the scene. He's considered the godfather of gangsta rap and was one of the first really hardcore gangster rappers. He dropped his first album "Rhyme Pays" in '86 which features the classic crime tale "6 in the Mornin'." It also has a single called "Squeeze the Trigger" which is one of my favorite hip hop songs of all time and the lyrics are still relevant to this very day.
