Oh yeah it's supposed to be Magnus-sensei, not Sensei Magnus.

The most remarkable thing about listening to magnus play chess, is that it is easy to follow his thoughts. When i watch and listen, he makes it seem so simple because he logically explains things. When I then fire up a game of chess and blunder a pawn and get forked three moves later, it snaps me back to reality that chess is not simple, and Magnus is true savant.

It's Ruy Lopez theory, taking the pawn goes into deep complications where white has compensation for the lost pawn

0:27 the e4 pawn is totally defenseless and the black doesnt take it during a lot of moves, without any reason. What kind of chess is this?
@phantomsniper108310 ай бұрын
the reason is rook e1 is rly powerful and causes lots of complications for black. its a highly studied line and if white knows how to play its bad for black to take in the long run
