Iced Out at the Oakdale Commons - Will this be a new tradition?

I have so many amazing memories of this place from the 70's and 80's. This was the only mall in the area back then and it was jam packed every day.

Oh yeah, and I myself used to go here all the time when I lived in the area during the 80's! Like virtually EVERY mall back then, the place was always rocking, with much to do inside of it! At least it SEEMS to be getting sort of a revitalization, and will hopefully become a popular retail destination once more too.

I really like your videos. I like the drone footage, and you always provide info I didn't know about. I do think this will be good for our area. I am always fascinated by abandoned places, especially malls, but I'm so glad ours isn't going that way!

I still miss Macy's, Sears, The BonTon, Burlington Coat Factory, 2 GameStops (although there is 1 in Vestal), and Ruby Tuesdays (I might've been there once).

My wife was from Endwell. Moved with her family to Florida in 1971. She never got to revisit the area. She passed away in 2008. I am intrigued to see the area she was from. I know she'd be fascinated to see all this.. By the way I was an AHL fan and miss the Binghamton team in American Hockey League.

Been going there for 15 years....now the only shopping I do, is JCPENNEY at Christmas.
