Thanks for the update, Frank. I knew that they were building the new Dick's extravaganza, but I didn't know that they were going to be demolishing parts of the mall building, itself. One of our neighbors told us that a grocery store was going into the old Bon-Ton building but it looks like that was just another rumor that never happened.

I really miss shopping at Oakdale Mall. That my favorite shopping mall I used walking there and I used live on Oakdale Rd Johnson City, NY

The mall isn’t really gone. They are repurposing it, and renovating it

When the Mall first opened it was really a great place to spend time, and there were great things to buy. I got a lot of items from Jeans West that were really fashionable.

I always wondered why the building was so tall and celings so low. I thought there might be a second floor but no it just looks like ductwork up there.

I had trouble walking from the mall to the Taco Bell area like I used to because of the construction. The stairs to the crosswalk were blocked off.
