Just for your peace of mind the nut or bolt that holds saw blades on is designed so it will tightens each time you use the saw until it is so tight it stops tightening. That is why they are hard to loosen to change the blade. This makes it next to impossible for it to come off even if it wasn't very tight. If the bolt was slightly loose the blade would slip and not cut when it touched the wood until the bolt tightened.
