Fun fact from the novels: most soul reapers in soul society actually gave Ichigo parts of their power, since it’s still a crime the captains, some Lieutenants and some seated officers were going to secretly do it but it got leaked so pretty much every soul reaper with some sort of name ended up going as well and giving a portion of their power to him. Ichigo is pretty much composite soul society at this point

what I like about this arc is that they show Ichigo crying, helpless feeling that he lost everything and can't do anything And it's the only time we see him like this in the whole manga

Tsukishima was way more evil to Ichigo in one arc than Aizen ever was in the whole show. The trauma he put Ichigo through is insane. Aizen uses his words to manipulate and mess with people's heads but this man said nothing and straight-up walked into Ichigo's house and brainwashed his entire friends and family. Not even Aizen or Ulquiorra could make him feel this level of despair.

Ichigo told Ulquiorra to cut off his arm and leg to make up for him going beserk. He felt sympathy for Aizen. He wanted to fucking murder Tsukishima in cold blood

Aizen and ulquiorra did despair as a wall. It was stacked against him heavily, but he still had the will to fight an actual opponent. The new asshole brainwashed his friends and family. He had no idea how to undo it and looked like he was crazy. Ichigo then apparently lost his ability to fight back making things mentally pointless with the despair. Yet he still decided to stand and fight while having nothing.

Neel if your confused why ichigo looks very different now after getting his powers back is because his shinigami powers and fullbring powers are fused. he didn't loose his fullbring powers, ginjo just stole the upper layer of his fullbring. he still had fullbring deep within his soul. also ichigo's fullbring is weaker manifestation of his hollow powers so now since it's fused with his shinigami powers he doesn't need to put on the mask!!

His shinigami powers are his shinigami powers, his hollow powers are his fullbring powers, his quincy powers are his quincy powers. This arc was about Ichigo finally accepting that part of himself and truly making that side of his power his own rather than being afraid of it and using it when he felt like he had to. I have no idea where you get the idea that his fullbring is a manifestation of his quincy side despite not a single thing in the anime, manga, or novels suggesting such a thing.

I know this is 8 months old but I'mma point this out anyway: There's a HUUUUUGE difference between the anime and the manga in this episode that I will forever maintain is one of the worst changes they ever made. In the manga, Ichigo doesn't regain hope and snap out of his despair until *after* Rukia's speech. The part in his inner world where he breaks free of the "chains" symbolizing his depair and regains his resolve to keep going before Rukia stabs him is made up by the anime, in the manga he really *was* swallowed by despair and in need of Rukia's support to bring him out of it. That change always rubbed me the wrong way, like they just couldn't have the main character show a genuine failing of character and loss that they needed someone else's support to overcome. They just *had* to change it so he does it all on his own because he's just that strong of character or something.
