I really want to know what the plan with Ukitake and Mimihagi is since they were dead by this point in the manga. Though them surviving this long explains why Yhwach didn't simply destroy the universe sooner unlike the manga where it was a long time question why he didn't just do it right away. === With 25 chapters left of the manga we will probably get about seven episodes worth of original content next cour so the the ending of Episode 40 doesn't bother me.

Realistically we probably wont see cour 4 until 2026 especially since there are only 25-26 chapters left and cour 4 is gonna be really heavy with anime only content. Kubo has already confirmed cour 4 will have a ton of anime content and whole episodes so cour 4 will definitely take alot of time. Which i am happy to wait for

People have often asked why Yha doesn't just Ashwalden Ichigo and Uyru? If he did to Ichigo I don't think it would be lethal and he would still have soul reaper powers. Uryu? he named him his successor despite having a more refined look at him with the almighty than Hachwalt's. So what if things re going as planned for Yha, he wants them to struggle, while this is also what he intends?

To add on, this was exactly why Uyru was named the successor. Yhwach intended to retrieve Uryu’s power through the Ashwalden but failed. He remarked that it had something to do with his latent powers (which manifested as part of his schrift later on)

According to Q&A #575 by Tite Kubo on his fansite "Klub Outside", Uryū being "special" for a Quincy is not just demonstrated by his ability to survive Auswählen, but also the fact that he can resist erosion by Hollow Reiatsu; citing his battles with Szayelaporro Granz and Ulquiorra Cifer as proof. Personal Note: My guess is that Yhwach wants to understand what makes Uryu special.

@@j.k.1239 Considering that Yhwach later manages to extract Ichigo's Quincy and Hollow powers from Ichigo, I doubt that is the case. We should just be glad that according to Kubo, Ichigo eventually got them back.

Maybe im just nitpicking, but i HATE how theyve ended the last two finales. It takes up such a big chunk of the episode. Im just guesstimating, but with the OP, the ED and that stupid asken tag at the end, that took up like 7 minutes of the episode. Other than that, so much great stuff to end the season. Didnt think wed already see the Gerard and Asken fights this much. Best part of the two episodes, definitely goes to the Queen, Yoruichi. The power up with her clothes shredding ooff, into that giant attack she let off......absolute cinema. Just imagine how Thunder God is gonna look. They better put the title for that episode on her ass cheeks.

That’s not nitpicking at all. It’s a reasonable criticism. We all still enjoyed it though and loved the epic moments despite that but I agree. Save these encyclopedia shorts for the collection set release as special features. I personally would’ve liked to see ishida and ichigo go at it all out one last time. It was a fantastic cour and finale other than that. Gerard and yoruichi had some epic moments, the animation with ichigo and uryu’s skirmish was cool and Uryu’s flashbacks. Haschwalth looked menacing and sinister asf too. I’m really hoping they don’t do that for cour 4 finale. But after 2 encyclopedia finales I’ll keep my expectations low

I bet that cour 4's 1st episode will incorporate a lot of scenes from episode 40 and expand on the fights like they did with cour 3 episode 1. Also cour 1 is not near perfect due to not really doing the whole Quilge fight with more finesse imo. Cour 1 also skipped the contents that I would like to see animated compared to what cour 2 had skipped over.
