Great test video. I have the Bosch, and is a great powerful machine. Parkside on the other hand is cutting corners with every new model. The older ones are performing better, regardless of the tool, impact driver, or drill. Even the case material is weaker on the new models. I personally don't buy any new tool from Parkside anymore. But I think they are very good choice for hobby purposes. And on the bosch you have every alarm shown in the toolbox app. Even on drills, every kickback stop is visible in the log. For me bosch, all the time, even if is more expensive. 👍👍👍
@fuloplehel Жыл бұрын
@Synth Cat Maybe you are right, but in the most cases are videos that show the new versions are not performing as promised in the specifications. And the support is terrible. But anyway I am done with Parkside tools.
@fuloplehel Жыл бұрын
@Synth Cat I was thinking exactly the same, the conclusion is that cheap tools are not for me. You don't have to buy festool, or milwaukee. For example Skil make excellent tools but not that expensive. Bosch also offers budget friendly professional tools, not the heavy duty ones, those are a little pricier, but you can upgrade later and keep the batteries and chargers. But if you are a hobby user, Parkside will be fine.
@fuloplehel Жыл бұрын
@Synth Cat In my opinion Festool is overpriced. Fortunately I don't have that apple vibe, and don't like apple products. I think there are more reasonable tool brands out there. Hilti is another very good brand. But depending on your work you may need the most powerful tools. I am working in facility management and maintenance, I have mostly use bosch heavy duty tools, in both 12v and 18v platforms. But in most cases even the 12V tools can do the job very well. In my area bosch is available and the service network is present. But if you want the Apple vibe, go for it. For me a 300 usd phone is enough, it will do the same job as the 1000 iPhone. I like and have good quality tools, but there is a limit and sometimes the price is not justified.

Parkside's biggest problem is the non consistent quality. In one case the same machine works great, the next one has a medium performance and the third one is far away from good. When you are lucky, u bought a good one, if not you have a machine what is far away from the capability such machines should have. Your test can show only your machines but not the big range in quality and power what is given with parkside. Probably this was also the reason why the D4 was more powerful than the E5. Your D4 seems to have a good quality, the E5 not. Other youtube video's show also tests of machines. In one video the machine performs well, in the next video the same model fails. When I buy a machine, I want consistant quality, for me the reason why Bosch is the clear winner. Yes, I pay more but i know what I get and I can rely on the quality. Also I do not buy such a machine every year, Better to buy one time something good and I have a long time fun than buyin again and again a new machine because of quality or performance issues. Bosch machines are tested and made for professional commercial use, parkside not. Differences in quality are often to find in details like tolerances, used materials and so on. Tests like yours cannot show these differences. The long lifetime of Bosch machines confirms the high standard, the more money is worth every penny (espacially when you count on a longer time period).

think that some Parkside Tools have very different Performances: I had the old green one (first 125mm model). After it smoked up (after really hard use, was OK) I bought another Green one: a lot weaker than the older one... Same with the old green drill (1st one from 2018): still working after some abuse (for mixing mortar) and seems to be stronger then it should be. The one my friend has ist less good...

No idea why wouldn't they just fix the "rattling" sound and change the position for the button to change speed bellow the speed indicator, like on the E5. Would like to see how much abuse the power button can take on the E5 before it starts giving trouble.

The stalling problem might be a design choice to protect the motor from overheating. The more force you apply the hotter the motor gets (because it has to work harder) while at the same time it means less cooling (because the motor and thus the cooling fan inside spin slower). I think they did this because there is no real overheating detection (as seen in the app), to compensate for this they just lowered the max cut off amperage to hopefully have less RMA's due to overheated motor's.

A little bit about backlash -its not good when there is no backlash between gears on high speed gears like angle grinder has because it serves a purpose -a grease as head warms up goes in it and it lubricates 2 gears. As how much grease is enough -i put half of makitas hammer drill bottle 195127-0 for small angle grinder and i put full bottle in big one. So 15 grams for small one and 30 grams of grease for a big angle grinder.It doesnt have to be makitas grease -i use it because its cheap 3€ a bottle and it lasts very very long time -any lithium grease for gear boxes works as long as viscosity is 00. Why they still install sintered bronze bushings in 2023 is beyond my knowledge -its not like needle bearings cost a fortune.

That "break" of the rotation from Parkside, after turning off the power, to my grinder made the nut of the disc unscrew, because of the inertia, and the disc flew out in the air. This is absolutely BS.

You have the Parkside Performance PWSAP 20-Li D4 and the issue are excessive play in the bearings and small cable. Excuse me but what ist the problem you make a test with standard and then bigger cables. The power includes 50, 60, 70 amperes and then these small cables. Make it better because bigger cables costs less then 1 EURO and the time for changing less then 1 hour. What is the problem and then we can show if the small cable is really a problem.
@krystian8508 Жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot for the vid 👍. Must say the E5 version does not look very promising. The performance reminds me of my Yato cordless grinder which stops extremely easy, even under a small pressure. It is really annoying problem, with a 4Ah battery it is almost impossible to use it without cursing all the time ;). E5 stops with 8Ah battery, so I guess with 4Ah it might also be very weak. The other thing is this double-click switch. I am pretty sure it will be irritating to use as hell. Clicking it fast twice wearing some thicker gloves might be a challenge ;). And I am impressed with the Bosch, it performs almost as a corded grinder. Unfortunately the prise is impressive as well ;). I live in Poland, at the moment I would get four brand new D4s for one Bosch in terms of price, and when I look closer on some internet sales portals, would make even six D4s for the same amount. For the hobbyist like me, the choice is rather obvious. As you said, D4 seems to be the winner hear, decent performance for a very good price.
