I do love ICM kits. They have a wonderful fit tolerance. Good stuff, Gary.

Great box review, ICM has definitely been increasing their quality and variety of kits, especially the combo kits with ground crew. Their boxing is unique as well. The new Swastica decals are like putting a puzzle together but at least coming out more to help with authenticity Directions are precise and color schemes extremely helpful. Thanks for sharing a look inside it always helps to see what lies ahead in the building out process . Cheers till the next video.

Gary, those marks in the plastic are called "flow lines". I'm not familiar with ICM, but on all other kits I've found that you need to give the surface a light sanding with fine grit sandpaper/sanding sticks/sanding sponges to avoid seeing those lines through the primer.

OK, I'll check it out - maybe prime an interior wall without sanding to see if it shows up...

A good way to add a little colour these decal control panels is to use Tamiya or anybodies clear colours. You can either do it before or after applying them.

With those type of tabs on the leading edge of the wings I find it easier to glue the wing halves together before trimming back the tabs and then finally sanding off the remains. If you try and cut or shave them back to the leading edge it is very easy to over cut. For the plastic with that sort of marking in the moulding I use Tamiya rattle can primer as this certainly covers the patterning. This looks a nice unusual kit

The decals had me wondering. All the other decals are very crisp and sharp yet the nose art is pixelated. Having a search around it looks like there are a few grainy images of that - maybe they cut and pasted it as is without anyone trying to tidy it up or redraw it? The rest of the kit looks really interesting and it is always nice to see companies producing kits of less well known or popular aircraft. Good and fair review as always. Have you trademarked "0.5mm pencil" yet? 😂

Thing is, if Airfix (or many others) did this then they'd have done the nose art research and Cartograf would have made it much sharper by using multi-ink screen printing instead of CMYK dot print. Dot print by its nature is less sharp looking and, frankly, a bit messy viewed at this scale. But, it would have been a very considerable investment for one bit of nose art to have changed the print process. Regular screened black with under-printed white works very well for the other things like instrument panels. Airfix often say that the bulk of the cost of a Vintage Classics release is making the new decal sheet!

Another great inbox review. I've never built an ICM model but I'm tempted with the B-26.

Being released towards the end of the month mate - got mine on order! If it's as good as their other recent moulds, it will be a big money spinner for them. Also, judging by their recent history, there could be some variants in the future as well as boxes with UK or South African markings.

Must ICM are a company at the forefront at the moment with the new releases and they do make a good kit this one is no exception an unusual subject but as you said great for a diorama and looking at the catalogue there are very nice new kit coming along 👍

Also, I know it gets said a lot but it bears repeating, their country is still at war with Russia and, if anything, their production schedule seems to have accelerated...

Looks like a decent kit Gary! I've never built an ICM kit to be honest with you and am more familiar with Airfix Revell and Tamiya

Very interesting subject indeed! I've never done an ICM kit, so I would be interested in seeing you have a go at this one. Too bad about the nose art decal.

Not sure I'll be able to do this one, but I will definitely be building the B-26 Marauder when it arrived (launch date is about 23 March). I also have done their 1/48th Beaufort, which is a delight.

Could you use a hot blade or small soldering iron to “melt cut” the sprue to stop that “ explosion” of the plastic as the normal cutters cut through?🤔!

Probably the best option, good tip!
