They went by Salt N Light on my campus I used to go. So you can add that name on the list too.

Thank you for this video, I appreciate what you said, and I relate to it. I recently reported the ICC cult group I was involved in to campus authorities and I am hoping it helps protect future students. The cult did manipulate me in various ways, and I could not focus on my studies I basically flunked out of most of my classes. The pressure to perform nearly broke me and may have honestly. I am not on the path I wanted I think primarily because I gave my life to the cult. It totally derailed me. Still healing but not giving up on my dreams. I feel so much better since I left. Free the college students!

Very informative video. They almost got me last year. But I spotted the red flags and did not continue with the studies.

The light at the end of the tunnel was that after I made my exit from the ICOC, I joined the mainline Church of Christ that I had already been visiting. It is *nothing* like the ICOC. When I was in the ICOC I was in a college ministry, the difference was that I was in my mid 20s at the time. I already had a career (in the performing arts) but being someone who would travel to perform meant I would be gone for weeks at a time. My own lead evangelist would look me in the eyes even as an adult in my 30s and say "maybe you need to, I dunno, change careers or something". It happens to adults too, not just college students.

I was told that I would destroy my children if I left, what destroyed them was being ignored and having stones cast at them, the person that told me this went on to have her nice life

I was recruited from a schools outside their area and fast tracked for leadership to start a Bible talk at a new campus. When I couldn’t pull it off they made me transfer to another school.

Were you in leadership in the ICOC? What were some questionable advice that you gave people you led?
