Thanks for the video! Personally, for the UK power limit, i would aim for 1500watts or even 2kW depending on whether the radio allows DPD. This will allow for some feeder-loss and ATU loss.

That plate on the back stated it needs 230 volts at 15 amps. Might have to change a 10 amp household GPO to a 15 amp in some countries.

If you are in the UK, you will be pleased to know that a 13A BS1363 plug-type fuse will carry a load of 20A indefinitely! This is entirely within the specification; take a look at "BS 1362 Fuse Operation Characteristics" if you're not convinced. Other countries may struggle with that power requirement though.

Yes, of course, the output power is adjustable.

Has no one asked the obvious question, if it excepts 2 radios working in say a contest role or you have a friend round to operate from your shack, then is the Icom PW2 capable of supplying 1Kw to both radios at the same time, so basically transmitting at 2Kw, but supplying 1Kw to each radio at the very same time. If this is correct, then all we need to see from Icom is a new HF Flagship, as big as the 7851, but a true SDR with a lot of the same features as the 7851.

No it will just be 1 output at a time, the other will be able to receive but not transmit

no, it's pre production model. we don't think Icom would be too happy if we showed their work to the other manufacturers before release ;)
