Heather Rosé Diana style was basically everything that the royal family isn’t allowed to wear or is shamed for wearing. So basically a rebel kind of style, it’s not hard to understand, she wore basic clothes that many people at the time also wore, shirts and short with sneakers, but since she had the title of princess people expected her to act classy and prim/proper, but of course she didn’t want to follow that rule and be washed out from who she was before being part of the family, she broke fashion rules to behavior rules that caused her to be shun from the family, but she didn’t care.

The blue does have a significance in the story! It's the same color she wears when she's a lawyer in new york and first moves to west covina. @Optimus Prime I never said I had disliked Madonna, I grew up listening to her. But what I'm saying is that there's no point in bringing her up here. Besides, Monroe wasn't racist (extremely rare for her time), she refused to date a man solely for publicity, and was really smart with a horribly up bringing and even in death men refused to respect her. To only call her an overrated pinup model would ignorant at best. If anything, you're the one with the bias against Monroe. There can be multiple iconic queens in history, Madonna is beautiful and an amazing singer and we're blessed to still have her here with us, but in my opinion it's not a good look for you to bring down Monroe for the sake of highlighting our pop queen, Madonna.

@a-cheng31334 жыл бұрын
@Optimus Prime I'm glad you're a respectful person in online discussions, you're opinions on Monroe will not change because of my replies, and there's no issue in that. Personally, I like Monroe more and can see where you're coming from. Perhaps we come from different walks in life, but in mine Monroe was always an Idol and a sense of comfort for me since I was young and she never stops inspiring me. I believe both should be remembered, but it hurts me to know people will only remember Monroe as a sex symbol. I'm so glad that Madonna is as popular as she is, but as of now it is late at night for me, but I hope your love for Madonna doesn't die out and someday you'll look more into the life of Monroe. Hopefully I won't be typing essays in response to a harmless comment about Monroe in the near future, have an amazing day/night.

My other favorite is from crazy ex-girlfriend for all the reasons that you mentioned in the video as well as because it also references her blue dress from the first song in the first episode (which is another of my favorite looks from the series). I can’t remember the context of the math of love triangles fully but at least in each fantasy sequence, she’s playing a naive ingenue stereotype to process and excuse the actions she’s taken for the sake of her love life. Love the video, as usual! I especially enjoyed the history of the original dress design. A few iconic fashion moment suggestions: - Diana, Princess of Wales: the ICONIC Revenge dress, her subversive street style, her style evolution from fiancée to divorcée - J.Lo’s Grammys Versace dress and how it sparked the now-ubiquitous lending of couture to celebrities - the history of menswear on women in film (Lauren Bacall, Diane Keaton, Meg Ryan, etc.) - the growth and evolution of the Met Ball over the years

I loved this video, it taught me a lot about the history and cultural impact of the pink dress that I didn't know. Can you do a video on the Atonement green dress next?

What a fun video! Finally someone observed the various iterations of the pink dress Marilyn originally wore. I knew there were plenty of examples.

I think that the reason why most people don't use two toned gloves when making an homage to or replica of the iconic outfit, is because it's a detail that can be easily missed, I've seen the original look numerous times and never noticed that detail until watching this video.

I just have to say something real quick. Thank you so much for making these videos . As a film major, this is just a fun way for me to enjoy cinema while also enjoying fashion. It’s like my two loves combined. Though I love film, the topics in film don’t come to me as easy as my peers but watching videos like this, make me understand film so much better. You have NO IDEA how much these videos help my confidence for the classroom, thank you so much. @ModernGurlz

Pink is a very nice color in my opinion. It’s so aesthetic and calm.

Madonna's recreation is the best hands down. Doesn't look cheap and she wore it like a second skin. Do love the blue version too, very nice.

Just recently, when Ryan Gosling performed “I’m Just Ken” at the Oscars he used this scene of Marlyn Monroe as inspiration.

I really liked the pantsuit harley had because it reflected her personality, in all of her time in dc she's never worn a skirt so it makes sense that the dress would have that twist. The fashion directors said they wanted to recreate Marilyns iconic dress and add a twist to it to suit harley but didnt know which direction to take, until someone suggested to keep everything the same and just turn it into a pantsuit. Every outfit of harley's in that movie was absolutely stunning

Harley Quinn will a wear dress from time to time, but it has to coordinate with her style, often with the signature red and black, such as the red dress Margot Robbie wears in The Suicide Squad. Marilyn's pink dress would have been too dainty for Harley's taste so I see making it a pantsuit gave it more of a bold edge.
