I googled the Burger Kitchen in LA to see if they were still open. I read a review that made me LOL 😂 “Im a 64 year old woman and dont write reviews often. I came here and the owner constantly leaned on my table and wouldn’t stop talking about Australia. He also insisted I read his book about how he hated his father. The burgers had a strong dry aged flavor to it which I think was wagyu and my mushrooms were not cooked in wine. The experience was not great and the coffee had a strong prozac flavor. 0 out of 10.”

In fairness, I'm not suggesting that Ramsay did it himself, but I do believe that mouse WAS planted and he was in-the-know about it. The way he turns around and looks down? No one does that naturally when entering a room.

@@trevscribbles If you own a bunch of restaurants and you want them to be a clean place then you will notice something like that in a restaurant immediately. If it was planted then that means Gordon is fine with tanking a restaurant rather than helping and that's not the kind of person he is. You only need 2 years and 2 eyes realize that.

It happens to a lot of children whose parents want to open up a restaurant. And the children get belittled, demeaned, and infantilized despite the fact that they have just as much invested in the business as their parents. They aren't given any kind of agency. And that leads to resentment, and hate, and these children go no contact with their parents eventually. It's very sad

Anyone else get mad when Chef turns a restaurant around despite the owners not deserving his help? Sometimes these owners make such a bad first impression than their 5 minutes of redemption at the end of an episode isn't enough for me to cheer for them.

Yeah I get that. With this crop of episodes I'd absolutely say both Shelly and Alan/Jen *did not* deserve his help. Although in fairness, in both cases there were many people at those restaurants that did deserve better (Mateen, Mother Mary, Daniel - to name a few) and I'm glad chef stuck around for them at least.

The last episode of the Greek restaurant after the transformation was such a success that even his son Aris learned quickly with such determination, there is no way he doesn’t know how to cook. He is got some experience alright. Wonderful job to the point his dad can retire and outstanding example of passion and determination. One day I will give that place a try to taste their food. 100 out of 10, 100/10
