I saw this at the beginning of the Kickstart, as you said the learning curve for the Proxmark is...Steep and playing with RFID is fairly new to myself. After watching this i just had to get one so i have a nice iCopy-XS on the way with the full Card pack. I'm hoping this will be my "RFID for dummies" start until i get more familiar with all the card types, how they copy ect. then move on to a Proxmark rdv4. I'm incredibly excited to start and equally excited to see more video's on this here. I have really enjoyed the other RFID video's also. As said, Thanks for all the hard work!

I wouldn't buy one of these until they have been Fully Vetted- which they have not. Also, you have to buy the copier to try SE/ SEOS, which, unfortunately, is all I need it for. BUT- I'm not paying 800 bucks total- when I can simply tailgate in. The place I infiltrate is ALL SE/SEOS and what if I buy the add on and it doesn't work. As an aside, many card systems are used all over, but most fall into the hard to hack category. Kind of like Locks- there are a ton of places which use SFIC's, which I can pop- most of the time, by breathing on/ but for the more important places= it's almost always Medico- which require alot more skill and time. This principal also holds true for rfid. Even a stupid apartment isn't going to use a LF card?! Just sayin.

Really dumb question, but how do you know what kind of key the place you're looking at uses? The cards I'm looking at (residential) have no serial numbers or anything else to identify them. Not sure if they're Mifare, iClass, etc...

@@JasonJia909 That's not a dumb question. Card identification is half the battle. It's also why they have soooo many different types of cards. Even iClass has like 8 itierations or some such nonsense. Well, you can use cheap and simple tools to determine if it is a LF or HF. LF's are easy to hack. If it is a HF= you'll need a proxmark. That, being said, it's a long, arduous, and technical journey to learn how to use it. Just compiling the code or finding the right branch (I think? Iceman's is the most used) is difficult if you are not a computer programmer= it's of that level of knowledge.

Oh, look at what your reader is= then read the manual for it. Funny thst there's so many cards but shockingly few readers. Pretty much just a handful of readers are used in the industry.

Some card data are encode but important information can find by hex ) i love learning but I did what I said and I can give you more ideas Thanks a lot ⚫️🧢
