I am a disabled veteran and have a sit walker because I can only walk short distances before I have to sit and rest. I have that on tape. That one took a dumb award.

My roommate has an actual medical doctors note she carries with her that specifies that she is not able to walk more than 200 feet at a time and must rest. That is a part of her disability and why she has a disability tag for any vehicle she is a passenger in. When she is using her walker similar to your she does stop and rest as needed. Thankfully we do not have idiot cops coming around our area that much to harass people. they are to busy doing other stupid shit.

@@publicviewmedia4700 ... If you have a doctors note on you on their letterhead and a cop refuses to acknowledge it they are in violation of the ADA and can be sued. Talk to your doctor about having this note for you to carry regarding your disability and need to rest after a certain distance. On my roommates it states that it is a lifetime disability need for the placard and it also has in big bold letters "CANNOT WALK 200 FEET WITHOUT RESTING". As I said once you present that note that has that on there and they attempt to violate you that is an automatic violation of the ADA. Also take note to VIDEO RECORD IT ALL so cover your ass on your end not theirs.

But they want you to argue, to say things. They listen to how, not what. If you sit/stand there and you say the same argument over and over, YOU are delaying the stop (what they want). I got my hair cut today, by the proprietor of the barber shop. Off-duty officer comes in, with arrogant attitude, and proceeds to sit in the chair next to me, and carry on a conversation with my barber. He described a call he had yesterday, where he had to intervene in a domestic argument between a man and his wife. He was very proud of the fact that when he "took the man down" that he "made sure to drive his face into the concrete" (or words to that effect). He was VERY proud to share the details of his actions. I was not surprised by this, but had to shake my head at how happy he seemed to be to get to do that to another human being. I make every effort to stay far away from the "action end" of the police.

There is a very smart way to deal with this and it so easy. *Ask if you are being detained. *State that you have nothing to say. *State that you will identify yourself only at booking. Where do the cops think he's supposed to ride the scooter? If he rode it on the sidewalk he would've been given a ticket, my nephew rode his skateboard on the sidewalk and was ticketed. They just wanted to ID this man bc they probably see him everyday and wanted to know what's in the backpack.
