we provide same dose but why only 50 persent dies not all?

Aneela Shoukat, the physiology at cell and tissue level is different among different people of human population or laboratory animals population, while doing the clinical trials for a new drug when you found 50 % of the laboratory animals die you mark that very dose as lethal dose. Dose of infectious agent for example could have been cope up by the strong immunity of a few subjects in the population taken so far and might not have been in the rest. Let me know if it helped
