2.42 pe aapne wrong fact bataya hai. Correct is iddat ends earlier. After the completion of four month and 10 days or delivery which ever is earlier but according to your information in a video you said it at a later.It means if The iddat period is four month and 10 days and the woman is pregnant for eighth month then her iddat period will stop or ends after the delivery i.e 1 month because it is earlier. Purpose of paternity is served after delivery

Iddat will be for 3 lunar month from divorce date. Whether Husband is alive or dead. Divorce has happened before death. This is when wife wants to go for next marriage. In case wife wants to inherit the property of husband and there is no plan to remarry, then she has to carry on iddat for 4 months and 10 days from the date of death.

No, There is no need to observe Iddat to husbands because the main object of Iddat to know the paternity. If women remarry just after the dissolution then it will be hard to ascertain who is father of that child. So, to overcome this problem Iddat was made.
