I don't even know what "restraint" means. They're a professional army. Their soldiers are reservists. They are given a task and they do whatever is needed to complete it. If that involves reducing a building to rubble, that is what they have to do.

Israel is not seeking to eliminate the Palestinian people. There are five times more Palestinians today than in 1948. The seige has a clear security logic - as witnessed by the mass casualty attack on October 7 and the incessant rocket fire against Israeli civilians. Your ignorant and deliberately hurtful comment doesn't change that fact. Get educated and get lost.

Biggest mistake the British Empire ever made was to help create Israel on top of Palestine. Great book to read is The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine by Ilam Pappe.

I was listening to an academic agent podcast. He made the point that the British hand was forced due to zionist terrorists and Jewish American pressure. I don't know the validity of these claims but it sounds plausible
