I don't even know what "restraint" means. They're a professional army. Their soldiers are reservists. They are given a task and they do whatever is needed to complete it. If that involves reducing a building to rubble, that is what they have to do.

Israel is not seeking to eliminate the Palestinian people. There are five times more Palestinians today than in 1948. The seige has a clear security logic - as witnessed by the mass casualty attack on October 7 and the incessant rocket fire against Israeli civilians.
