Great stream as usual Robert / IDG. Jaehaerys II def one of those more under the radar kings who has piqued my interest over the years . Granted a very small sample size to judge him / his reign but in that he showed decisiveness , proactivity , action , conciliation etc. JT2 was decisive and proactive taking action against the Ninepenny threat , more so than a fair few other Targ kings would have. Acted the conciliator with the nobility in particular who resented the Targs / crown after Aegon V's unpopluar reforms / reform attempts (unpopular to the nobility) and seemed to strike some sort of balance with those reforms going forward and calming tensions. Also his interest and role with prophecy ; "bookish / clever" types do seem to suggest likely prophetic interest and betrothed his children against their desires based on prophecy. He did seem to partially help fulfill such prophecy via the line of Aerys II & Rhaella with that choice. Like in real life / history not every monarch and / or reign will be epic and super impactful ; but perhaps F&B part II could shed some more light on JT2's character and reign and certain moving parts in & around it.

Jaehaerys the 2th is a interesting character he between our povs of the main books and Egg stories with his short time looked over he seemingly was a good King some how he kept some rights for common people while keeping Lords happy some how and wanted to command the attack on the Stepstones all while being sickly. But he defied his father marring for love destabilizing the kingdoms then forced his children to marry for prophecy Iwould love to get more info on him however.................A Blackfyre would been better not Maelys but his cousin Daemon Blackfyre the 4th.

The language around Summerhall makes it sound like some kind of atrocity happened before the fire. Nobody will even speak about it. You'd think at least the maester would have spoken to other maesters. What could have happened to so traumatize these highly martial people?
