You actually did it. You mad lad. This is a wonderful demonstration for why I get so mad at people who demand melee become “true melee only”. You highlight how range is one of the most important aspects of weapons, especially in bosses like moon lord or wall of flesh. This is why melee with projectiles is important, certain bosses would be infeasible for a casual melee player to beat on higher difficulties.

just put everything you can into defense. Crimson worlds help a lot because of the flesh knuckles and upgrades along with cross necklace + brain of confusion being extremely strong. I might make a video on how to tank effectively at some point and go into more detail there.

Since it would be too easy on classic, I decided to try it on master. The only problem I have right now is the world itself. I spawned in the worst possible generation ever. Literally no caves around.

I remember doing this and it was awful. About halfway through pre-hardmode I realized a full damage setup (I was trying to compensate for the shortsword's lackluster damage and range) would not work at all. I didn't try to go near the optional bosses or events. Seeing someone do it is both really impressive and also has reminded me never to go back to this challenge again.

25 molten, 8 ironskin, 4 food, 20-24 accessories reforged to warding, 2 obsidian shield, 5 bast statue. Prob one or two other things I'm forgetting, 65 without bast is the reasonable cap I remember without bast statue.
