Why not? If you can get 2 for $2 or 1 for $1. Why not bargain? All mainline hot wheels are $1 in the states and a lot of scrapers buy them just to resale it for more.

I had that on OfferUp. I had a bunch of hot wheels I was selling $2 each or 3 for $5 and it was roughly over 100 cars and this dumb ass offers me $30 for the entire lot. And literally before this idiot messaged me I’ve sold quite a bit of the cars and got more than his entire offer for the lot. I literally had to reply “I’ve sold some of the cars for more than your offer. I’m good thank you”

In America the worst type of collectors are the 1s that buy 20 of the same mainline and mark it up 10x the original price and still want you to pay shipping 😐🤐 like it's some get rich quick scheme they think they're running. Its a real Good look for them taking advantage of children and people who genuinely love the hobby or are actually car enthusiasts instead of actually getting a job. And that leads into #2 which is the people who are low skilled working in Walmart target etc who brag about what they found and then behave like example #1 not really impressive that they go thru boxes b4 they hit the floor and then post it on fb for likes from complete strangers. It's amazing how desperate people are for attention....soooo many more examples but ill leave it there

Hey drifter i saw this video and all these struggles of idots in carousell, I’ve faced a few dumb trade offers like literally beat up crap for super treasure hunts, as a kid that’s 14 and been in this hobby since like 7 or 8 i really face struggles buying cars from carousell, i can see why alot of kids buy from carousell, variety,cash,after school go and buy and go home without their parents knowing, imma be real here i used to buy hot wheels from toys r us after tution 😂, but once i got to a point realise rarity and certain cars i cant find i dug into carousell, i usually choosed places to meet up with near my school ( my parents knew btw i not yp) anyways i got cars and barely negotiated and even offered to throw in extra bucks if they lived a little far away, but main points for kids to buy hot wheels from carousell is mostly just cus parents don’t wanna buy for them hence the dumb offers and requests and that they cant use credit card. I would like to see a video of ur experience back when u didn’t have credit card and stuff, But now i shop on shopee since its way more stress free and straight to the point.

Don't worry guys I'm also 14 and I have like (almost) 200 cars. But I don't buy much hot wheels anymore so most of my cars are like from the 2000s the late 90s and I have a few from the 80s, (but not much like one or three) and I have a lot of old color shifters.

What I hate is when you win an auction say a Monday and they will dispatch it a week later so it takes , nearly 10-14 day's even you have paid for the postage £.3.20-£4.20 for one car . I bought a couple of tomicas from drifter. Although he accidentally put the wrong car in the box, he was completely helpful and was willing to send me the correct car or refund me and let me keep the wrong car. The wrong car wasn't even cheap. Respect.

And it's because of all of this reasons, i gave up on selling my collection. People just don't understand the value that we pay, they don't get that some models can become more valuable (especially rlcs) and even with you explaining all of this for them they still go full dumb mode and ask to buy a collection of 60 models for 10 dollars. I know that, at least, i treat my models with respect, so i rather loose money than selling my kyoshos for some idiot out there
