I grew up with these, predominantly served at Christmas. I put a bit of shredded coconut (instead of nuts), along with the regular ingredients. They are delicious, easy to make and disappear fast lol! Thank you for making this video.

I think a small child heard you say butter tarts ? She's going to be quality control for the day dad so get it right . Love seeing kids watching us cook . My kids would watch dad cook because mom had many more jobs around the house . Besides I worked a lot when they were young in the 90's . Just had to throw that in as I remember the days when they were kids. Great job . Thankyou for the recipe .God bless .

Love your channel! I was very fortunate growing up. Both my parents were excellent cooks and my mother's butter tarts were the best I've ever had. She was a "dash of this and a wing and a prayer of that" kind of cook, and I still remember she'd use "butter the size of a walnut" in her tarts. To this day, some of my best creations have no recipes other than understanding how ingredients interact with each other.
