I knew Aliy back in the 90's, attended a fund raiser she had for the first time that she ran the Yukon Quest in 1998, at a lodge out on China Hot Springs road, they were serving oxen, which had been donated by a local farm specifically for her. Aliy is one of the most genuine down to earth individuals Ive ever met, I left AK in 2003, but I hope Aliy is doing well
