IDLES are a band that we all need the most. Right now there's so much negativity and hate going on in the world and considering we live in an age where we are more connected than ever; humans have never been so divided whether that be for their personality, culture or ethnicity. Today there's such a culture of hatred and being pessimistic and hopeless but IDLES compleatly fight against this culture by using "Joy as an act of resistance". The juxtaposition between the angry instrumentals and positive and meaningful lyrics are just perfect in my opinion. I'm thankful that there's a band like IDLES in a time where we needed them most. Spread positivity, not hate

I can't stop watching this video. Every time I watch it, I find something else that makes me smile at the sheer joy of it all. I can't claim to know much about Idles, I'm just a middle aged bloke who stumbled across this one day on KZbin. But I know a good tune when I hear one. And, without overstating it - this is more than just a good tune. This captures something of what I (naively, no doubt) thought the UK once was - open, welcoming, able to integrate all kinds of people from all kinds of backgrounds and make them feel like it was their home. And it's what I hope we might one day become once again - when we finally, finally get rid of the current shower of absolute bastards running the show.

Half the lyrics are the most simple yet beautiful things ever sung, and the other half is "yeah yeah yeah yeah, eh eh eh eh". Punk never diedand never will.

Most of the time I feel like I'm an island, so thank you for reminding me that I'm wrong. I literally just discovered this band like 30 minutes ago, and I'm in love.

It's in Ukraine where there is a huge racism problem, nazi personalities are glorified out in the open and Roma people are attacked and murdered at broad daylight with government's conivence right? Danny is a ukrainian friend of the band that escaped from all that shit, but most ukrainians are not something that share the values of this song

@@fresagrus4490 I am Ukrainian and live in Ukraine. No doubt, sometimes that kind of issues happens in our country. But what you're saying is brilliant example of russian propaganda shit. Just find the results of last elections in Ukraine, and check %% of nationalistic party and leaders ("Pravyi sector" and Dmytro Yarosh for example). I can help you - it's less than 2%, AFAIR.

@@fresagrus4490 you see, you don't even pretend to be interested in the situation in Ukraine, you spew word by word what RT is telling you. Nobody adequate is going to believe you soon.

Does anyone notice that when they sing "I know him and he is" maybe it´s a tribute to the band Pavement? On the song "Stereo" Pavement sings "I know him and he does"...The tone is quite similar! I was getting crazy saying to myself...I have heard that line plenty of times and couldn´t match it. I wrote it on the internet and there it was...a freak like me had already asked the same thing...It´s great to see there are more things that bring us together than separate us. We are the same. God bless you all! Have a nice day!!
