I got the chance to see the Spice Girls exhibition at Ripley's in June just before it closed and so glad I got to see it. Brings back all the memories and made you realise truly how massive they were!

It's a neat collection, and it's nice that she collected all that memorabilia...but her attitude comes off as haughty and arrogant. "For me, the way to become closer to my idols was to begin this collection. The more I have--it meant the bigger fan I was." Wrong. It doesn't matter what you're a fan of. Having the materials of your idols doesn't make you a *better* or a *bigger fan.* If anything, you're a fan like everyone else. Not every person can afford a collection; or has the chance to swoop up this type of merchandise. "I have all this stuff; this belongs to me...No one else. There are other fans out there that see that I've got fame from my collection. I've met the girls; the girls know who I am." So what? Everyone is a fan of something for different reasons. Whether it's a person, group, story, film, actor, actress, etc. It doesn't matter what you're a fan of. Individuals connect to someone or something for a variety of different reasons. You're no different. You've met them? Cool. I'm sure they've met dozens of fans. You know how grateful some fans are to merely have been able to receive their CDs alone; as a gift or have had to save up money? I'm sure a huge chunk of their fans. It's this "I'm better than you are because I have more stuff" attitude that's problematic. You say that there's a 'rift' between you and other fans? Well, gee...I wonder why? A little bit of humility goes a long way. This memorabilia in a museum would be cool, but perhaps giving some of it to someone else as an act of kindness would be a nice thing as well.
