That is actually the entire reason that Joker fights Batman. He's always trying to prove that someone no matter how good they are can be as ugly as him if they were to suffer like him. Many of the members looked up to the society and even became heroes because of the society's ideals and influence. For example, Barry was a huge fan of Jay garrick and became the flash to honor Jay.

So at the end of this, Joker is inspired to kill Lois and set Superman off because of what Batman thinks of the man of steel. And we know that the only reason Joker does anything at all is to get at Batman, one way or another. He won't do anything if it won't affect Batman in some way, and in many timelines once Batman perishes or retires and passes the mantle to another, Joker gives up his life of crime and has a normal life. If Batman didn't say that Clark was the best or taunt Joker after Superman breaks free, just keeping his mouth shut like he normally does, Joker wouldn't have had the necessary motivation to prove him wrong by starting the snowball that is the injustice timeline. So what we can take from this, is that the entire Injustice timeline *is in fact* the direct or indirect doing of Batman.
