Nobody could replace Lou Gramm. Nobody. He was Foreigner. This is a very good cover band though. And I did see them once live in concert in the late 1970's and once during the 1980's. They were great.

Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, can truly replace Lou Gramm in his prime but I give props to Kelly for doing justice to their classic tunes. Lou was just incredible before his brain surgery robbed him of his magical gift. I almost cried when I heard him in concert in '99 which wasn't that long after his surgery. He didn't want to tour but mgmt pressured him into it. He had no business being onstage at that time and he knew it. His once powerful voice was reduced to barely being able to hear him over the sound mix. As a day-one diehard Foreigner fan it was heartbreaking to witness.

Mick wants to carry on and with help of very good musicians, he is. Nothing lasts forever, songs don’t get old but people do, it’s sad I know but true. So by your logic Ringo Starr could get any three guys together and call themselves the Beatles?
@illmatiK42 жыл бұрын
@@rustyshakelford1279 That’s a pretty bad example. But this comment is based on the frontmen being replaced and maintaining the original sound of the group. And if we’re being honest, a founding member of a group can do whatever he wants. Otis Williams did it with the Temptations numerous times and had success in every phase. So yeah ppl can be replaced only if the quality of the music isnt sacrificed. Kelly and Arnel do both groups justice. You guys act like Steve Perry and Lou Gramm (as great as they were) are the only ppl who know how to sing. They had their time, but luckily for those groups, they found supreme talent to given them both a 2nd wind for the original crowd and appeal to younger listeners.
